In 2000, I started working with Drummer Dean Sharp, who helped me reconnect with a missing part of my musical vocabulary: ambient style jazz, a la ECM records. We cut this disc in the studio in 1 day; very few edits or overdubs. It was a tremendously liberating experience, and helped me bring disparate musical elements of my life together in a new and (for me) profound way. Featuring Dean Sharp & Bassist Dave Hofstra (Microscopic Septet), "Galvanized" has proved to be one of NAIL's most popular discs. Originally released July 1, 2003.
