 Billboard-charting alt-folk-pop singer-songwriter multi-instrumentalist Rachael Sage will perform at the Towne Crier on Friday, January 9th where she will play songs from her new full-length studio album, Canopy, and more. The show is a co-bill with Meghan Cary. Showtime is 6:30 pm and is free with a dinner reservation. Rachael, a resident of Beacon, is looking forward to this unforgettable evening.  John Smith is a native New Yorker with deep roots in the Harlem and Long Island Jazz and Roots Music scenes. He easily navigates across genres - from jazz and gospel to R&B, blues and contemporary pop - enriching his musical style and allowing him to develop his own highly recognizable sound. John has collaborated with many well-known artists like Dr. Lonnie Smith, Babyface Edmonds, Heavy D, and Chrissette Michele to name just a few.
John's songwriting highlights his deep understanding of composition and intuitive connection to the emotions, themes, and the stories that listeners treasure. Whether for other artists or for his own performances, his ability to craft memorable, meaningful music makes him a sought-after force in the industry.
John is also cultivating the next generation of musicians through his work with young musicians at Mount Vernon High School, in nonprofit settings, and in his own private lesson program.

The Poughkeepsie Jazz Project was created in 2012 with the goal of maintaining live jazz culture and community in Poughkeepsie, NY. Since its inception, The PKJP has presented a weekly jazz jam session accessible to all musicians and fans of live music. Over the past nine years, the jam has been honored to host hundreds of musicians from the Tri-state area. This event is free to both participants and listeners.
