A shared vision quickly emerged and the three started working on their first single, “Slow & Steady” which is set to be released later this year. With a blend of electronic elements along with live instruments, Soundstream takes from a variety of influences that have given them a unique sound.

Since the late 1970s, he has been a force in bands such as Boswell, The Little Elliott Lloyd Blues Band, The Ulstafarians, and The Blue Rays.

SlideAttack plays fresh arrangements of jazz standards from the swing era to hard bop and beyond, by composers Kenny Dorham, J.J. Johnson, George Gershwin, Hank Mobley and others, along with original material.

"In so many ways, this music is so refreshing; excellent arrangements, interesting repertoire, all put together with the care and love that can only come from true dedication and appreciation for the kind of swinging jazz that one doesn't hear nearly enough nowadays. In the great tradition of the two-trombone groups of yesteryear, Mr. Levy and Mr. Goidel deserve our gratitude for keeping the tradition not only alive, but swinging!" - Loren Schoenberg, Artistic Director, The National Jazz Museum in Harlem

"Guitar star Dylan Doyle delights audiences, but frustrates anyone trying to define his sound....It isn’t the 19-year-old’s job to define it. It’s his job to play it. And that’s what the Dylan Doyle Band will do..." - Wisconsin News

http://www.dylandoyleband.com/

Based in the Hudson Valley, rising star Dylan Doyle has been performing nationally, as well as internationally. Southern bred, northern raised, his trio’s style of music lies somewhere between roots rock and jam funk.

After sharing the stage with the young musician in Memphis a few years back, Ben Cauley, sole survivor of the Otis Redding plane crash and co-founder of the Bar-Kays likened Dylan to a young Jimi Hendrix. When asked about the wave of young talent rising from the Hudson Valley, Van Morrison guitarist John Platania commented “Dylan Doyle is the future.” Bill Payne of Little Feat described Dylan’s work as “imaginative and original.”

Husband and wife Pete and Maura Kennedy have traversed a broad musical landscape over more than two decades of travel across the US and UK. Starting out as members of Nanci Griffith’s Blue Moon Orchestra, the New York-based duo cite Buddy Holly and The Everly Brothers as primary influences. Their original songs, spanning more than a dozen CDs, are uplifting and encouraging, a tonic to inspire and empower our better angels.

In addition to presenting a mix of Kennedys’ favorites, Pete will read short excerpts from his new book, "Tone, Twang, and Taste: A Guitar Memoir."

SPECIAL SHOW: Singer/songwriter SLOAN WAINWRIGHT, consistently demonstrates her easy command of a variety of American musical styles — pop, folk, jazz and blues — held together by the melodious tone of her rich contralto, with the end result being a unique and soulful hybrid. Her family tree (brother and folk-music luminary Loudon Wainwright, nephew Rufus Wainwright, nieces Martha Wainwright and Lucy Wainwright Roche) With a solid and impressive discography of 10 original CD releases to her credit. Sloan’s incredible gift is not only her unique songwriting ability but also her dramatically voiced rendition of original songs. “She’s folk influenced, but the real star here is her voice. Warm and smoky and smooth, it makes her earthy, ominous lyrics seem all the more intense.” Glen Rothel will be accompanying her for this show.

The open mic portion of the evening is a great opportunity for newcomers and seasoned performers with a welcoming, appreciative audience. Sign-up 7pm.
