 Jay & The Americans bring their timeless sound to Paramount Hudson Valley on September 27, celebrating one of the most enduring legacies in rock ’n’ roll history. Originally formed in 1961, the group became one of the lasting success stories of the era, earning five Billboard Top 10 hits and twelve Top 20 records with their unforgettable harmonies and classic pop-rock style.
Audiences can expect a hit-filled evening featuring favorites like “She Cried,” “Come a Little Bit Closer,” “Cara Mia,” “This Magic Moment,” “Walkin’ in the Rain,” “Sunday and Me,” and more. More than just a concert, the show offers a backstage pass into the stories behind the songs, the artists who influenced them, and their connections to legendary names like Roy Orbison, Neil Diamond, Steely Dan, and Joan Jett.

 Celebrate the musical arc of America with chamber ensembles of the HVSO. Journey with us through folk-inspired works by Florence Price to the jazzy themes of George Gershwin, from introspection and nostalgia of Samuel Barber's Summer Music and Charles Ives' Unanswered Question to the rollicking Hoe Down by Aaron Copland!
The concert features a woodwind quintet, a string ensemble, and a brass quintet, giving listeners an opportunity to hear members of the HVSO up close in the beautiful and intimate theatre at Cunneen-Hackett Arts Center.
This is a special fundraising event. Sponsors will be invited to a reception following the performance with champagne and light bites to celebrate the opening of the season with members of the orchestra.

 LINDA SUSSMAN is an award-winning singer-songwriter and guitarist from New York whose music is a mix of alternative-folk and blues that digs into our shared human experience. As KTAL host Ron Cooke says, “Sussman makes the personal universal and the universal personal.” Her vocals are often compared to Joan Baez, while her self-taught guitar style use open tunings, fingerstyle and acoustic slide. In early 2026, she released her sixth album since 2018, titled Don’t Drink the Poison, which ranked #3 on the Roots Music Report’s Top Alt-Folk Album Chart in January and was a Top Album on the FAI Folk Chart in February. She’s been on WFUV John Platt’s On Your Radar series, while the many venues she has played include the iconic The Bitter End (NYC), the Long Island Music Hall of Fame (Stony Brook, NY), the Jeanne Rimsky Theater (Port Washington, NY) and more intimate stages such as Radio Bean (Vermont). Occasionally, you can find her onstage with her lead guitarist Mike Nugent. |

Since its inception, The PKJP has presented a weekly jazz jam session accessible to all musicians and fans of live music. Over the past twelve years, the jam has been honored to host hundreds of musicians from the Tri-state area. This event is free to both participants and listeners. All with a passion for jazz are welcome.
Music performed at this session is a mixture of: jazz standards, jazz repertoire, american songbook, bossa nova, and afro cuban. Sorry, we do not host original material at this session.

These veteran musicians, to their credit, have performed and recorded with world renowned artists such as Celia Cruz, Pete "El Conde" Rodriquez, Eddie Palmieri, Monguito "el unico", Los Kimbos, and the New Swing Sextet to name a few.

 Marshall Charloff & Purple xPeRIeNCE is the most celebrated tribute to Prince in the world. The group was co-founded in the “Purple Mecca”- Minneapolis”- by Marshall and Matt “Doctor” Fink (keyboardist from Prince & The Revolution) in 2011, an era where Prince closely monitored the use of his art. Their vision was to deliver Prince’s music on the highest level, played live and untracked by skilled musicians, while paying respectful visual homage through costuming and likeness.
Immediately met with success and adoration from discerning Prince devotees, the show in its 15th year of touring, nationwide and internationally, now having performed for over 1 million fans. In 2019, they were officially licensed by the Prince Estate, and in 2021, Marshall Charloff & The Purple xPeRIeNCE were selected by the US Department of State to be featured in the USA Pavilion of the World Expo in Dubai.
