With the spirit of Hot Blues and Funk, Seydurah Avecmoi, a protegé of the great Sweet Georgia Brown, is a fiery, dynamic blues vocalist who sings jazz, blues and soul.
Seydurah has headlined several packed shows at B.B.King's Blues club and Grill in Times Square and completed two successful tours in China at the House of Blues & Jazz and Friends and the JZ club, earning rave reviews. She also headlined with a full orchestra at the Manhattan Cocktail Classic VIP Gala held annually at the historic New York Public Library on Fifth Ave. Before Covid, Seydurah had a residency, fronting her own band, The Avecmoi Band of Blues at Arthur’s, every Wednesday at the Tavern in NYC, as well as monthly at the world renowned 55 BAR in NYC. $20 adm. The Poughkeepsie Jazz Project was created in 2012 with the goal of maintaining live jazz culture and community in Poughkeepsie, NY. Since its inception, The PKJP has presented a weekly jazz jam session accessible to all musicians and fans of live music. Over the past twelve years, the jam has been honored to host hundreds of musicians from the Tri-state area. This event is free to both participants and listeners. All with a passion for jazz are welcome.

Rhythm Rising Quartet is a talented ensemble of Hudson Valley musicians, led by Grammy-nominated percussionist Tomas Martin Lopez. Their music blends Afro-Caribbean Latin Jazz, Bossa Nova, and Samba, with the vibraphone adding a smooth yet fiery drive.
The quartet includes Victor Catanzaro on Vibraphone, Doug Correllus on Piano, Ron Figueroa on Bass, and Tomas Martin Lopez on Percussion. The Rhythm Rising Quartet masterfully honors traditional Latin Jazz artists such as Cal Tjader, Tito Puente, and Mongo Santamaria.
