Direct from the shores of the Hudson River, The Swingin' Palms blend the most rousing aspects of vintage Hawaiian, Tiki, Exotica, and Surf music. Led by Graham Tichy on Hawaiian steel guitar and Don Young on ukulele, The Swingin' Palms present a mix of original music, Hapa Haole rarities, and forgotten gems reconceived in a style that's both authentic and fresh.

The Freedom Park Bandshell in the Town of LaGrange will be the venue for a "Halfway to the Holidays!" show presented by The Big Band Sound 25-piece jazz orchestra to benefit the Sparrow's Nest local charity. Performances will be Saturday, May 30th at 6 p.m. and Sunday, May 31st at 6 p.m. and the suggested donation is $25 per person. Freedom Park is located at 212 Skidmore Road in LaGrangeville and accessible parking and entry is available. Bring folding chairs, blankets, and picnic items, but please note that dogs are not allowed. If it should rain, the performance will take place under the cover of the large picnic pavilion adjacent to the bandshell. David Janeway's powerful and fluent playing has been heard in a wide variety of contexts, from straight ahead jazz with musicians such as Art Farmer, Craig Handy, Freddie Hendrix and Eliot Zigmund through Latin-Jazz artists such as Angel Canales and Sabor to Dakota Staton and The Supremes. He has several well received albums as a leader (featuring the likes of Bob Berg, Sonny Fortune, Harvie S and Tim Armacost) along with his critically acclaimed trio recordings with Cameron Brown and Billy Hart. He continues to perform extensively in the NYC club scene as well as venues throughout the US and Europe. His latest release on Steeplechase is, Live at Blue Llama, featuring his trio with Robert Hurst and Billy Hart and is available on all major streaming sites.
The Chain Gang is celebrating 27 years as a band this year. Although we are a general cover band (60s-80s, all genres), over the years we have developed both a Beatles and a Billy Joel Tribute performance. Their Billy Joel Tribute performance has met critical acclaim every time they have done it. It covers the span of Billy’s career that will make you tap your feet throughout the performance. The band prides itself in adhering to the original arrangement for every song. If you close your eyes, you will think you’re at Billy’s concert.

Gerry has been playing at venues in Hudson valley and NYC for a number of years. He is an accomplished songwriter with a large catalog and was a featured artist on NPR radio. His conversational style of original songs ranges from the singer songwriter category to blues-based rock and country. A proficient guitar player, he also plays a variety of acoustic covers of classic rock and pop favorites.
Corey Bonalewicz, aka COREY B, is an American radio personality, comedian, and content creator based in New York. Corey B has been working in Radio for over ten years. He got his start in New Orleans and has hosted radio shows in Chicago and New York. Prior to the pandemic, Corey performed stand up in the New York comedy club circuit and was planning on touring.

The Poughkeepsie Jazz Project was created in 2012 with the goal of maintaining live jazz culture and community in Poughkeepsie, NY. Since its inception, The PKJP has presented a weekly jazz jam session accessible to all musicians and fans of live music. Over the past nine years, the jam has been honored to host hundreds of musicians from the Tri-state area. This event is free to both participants and listeners. All with a passion for jazz are welcome.
