Don your fairy wings, pack a picnic and gather your friends and family and join us on May 16 (rain date: May 17). This year marks the 35th Annual Hudson Valley Beltane Festival at Stone Mountain Farm in New Paltz, NY.

The Hudson Valley Beltane Festival is a family-friendly, outdoor celebration that blends the pomp and whimsy of a Renaissance Faire with the magic of a springtime picnic gala. Held on the beautiful grounds of Stone Mountain Farm, the festival brings together music, dance, giant puppets, storytelling and community to celebrate the turning of the seasons. Dancers from the Caravan’s Dance Institute will perform in the magical Beltane Pageant at 4pm.

The Pageant caps the day with a theatrical performance of myth, magic, aerial flight and giant puppetry. The dancers and audience alike welcome spring. Dancers weave a wondrous tale as fairies, gnomes, elemental spirits and magical creatures. Expect a rainbow of giant puppets, talking birds, dancing dragons and more.

BeanRunner Cafe
201 S. Division Street @ Esther
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Featured on three Grammy-winning records, Pete Rodríguez is a triple-threat virtuoso trumpeter, vocalist, and percussionist. He has played with musical legends Tito Puente, Branford Marsalis, and Eddie Palmieri, to name a few, and brings a powerful cultural legacy as the son of legendary salsa singer Pete "El Conde" Rodríguez and the godson of Fania Records co-founder and salsa pioneer Johnny Pacheco.

Pete's original compositions push genre boundaries with unapologetic rawness and narrative depth, and his latest record, 'I'm Pete Rodriguez, Volume 1' is a masterclass in heritage-driven innovation, redefining what Afro-Cuban jazz can be.

"He possesses a full rich sound on both trumpet and flugelhorn and his technique is incredible. It is as a composer that his development is even more amazing." - Kenny Barron

"...a profound declaration of his own distinct artistic identity...creating a sound that is both deeply personal and strikingly innovative." - Latin Jazz Network

Jim Treutlein has been the undisputed leader and song finder of the Pontiacs for more than 40 years. His weekend trips from Long Island to perform in the Hudson Valley have endeared him to generations of fans and friends. With wit, wisdom, and a wealth of songs in tow, he has always been there to share his talent with the community. The Pontiacs have played years of celebrated performances at Olive Day, private weddings, special birthdays, and, more importantly, countless benefit shows for those in need. Jim's favorite expression is "players play," and there are very few musicians who have given so much of themselves to the role of entertaining others. written by - Peabo
