The Poughkeepsie Jazz Project was created in 2012 with the goal of maintaining live jazz culture and community in Poughkeepsie, NY. Since its inception, The PKJP has presented a weekly jazz jam session accessible to all musicians and fans of live music. Over the past twelve years, the jam has been honored to host hundreds of musicians from the Tri-state area. This event is free to both participants and listeners. All with a passion for jazz are welcome.

Pianist David Budway joins BridgeMusik artists for this playful yet thoughtfully curated program, featuring BridgeMusik’s cross-genre artists and bringing together music by Johann Sebastian Bach, Johannes Brahms, Claude Bolling, and Budway himself. Spanning Baroque elegance, Romantic depth, and contemporary classical–jazz fusion, the concert highlights creative connections across centuries, styles, and musical traditions. Vocalist/Pianist/Composer Mala Waldron is a NYC native who balances local performances with tours all over Europe and Asia. Featured recordings include her CD debut, "Lullabye" (tribute to godmother, Billie Holiday), a duo project with her father, pianist, composer Mal Waldron ("He's My Father") and "Always There" which, in addition to being her first U.S. release, was licensed by Columbia Records (Japan) and voted one of the Top 20 Jazz CDs of 2006 by JazzUSA.
As a band leader, Mala has performed with her group at the Jazz Standard, Dizzy's Club Coca Cola, the 55 Bar, Cornelia St. Cafe, BAM Cafe , the 1st Annual Coltrane Day Music Festival, and most recently at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, and the 17th Annual Jazz in the Valley festival with the Christopher Dean Sullivan Ensemble, among others. In 2017, Grammy-nominated artist Joan Osborne released the critically acclaimed album, Songs of Bob Dylan. Her artistic and soulful reinterpretations of the selection of Dylan songs was an eye-opening moment in an already celebrated career. Eight years after milestone recording, Osborne will release the stunning Dylanology Live on April 25th. The captivating recording finds the gifted vocalist performing in front of a live audience, with special guests Amy Helm, Robert Randolph and Jackie Greene. Songs include “Spanish Harlem Incident”, “Buckets Of Rain” “Masters Of War”, “Tonight I’ll Be Staying Here With You” and “High Water (For Charley Patton)”.
