Welsh Guitarist Brings ‘American Primitive’ Style to Newburgh
with Gwenifer Raymond, Christo Graham, The Spookfish, Blood Boy
Acoustic, Folk/Traditional, and World
Untouchable
40 Liberty Street
Newburgh, NY   See Map
Acclaimed Welsh instrumentalist Gwenifer Raymond will bring her celebrated American Primitive guitar style to Newburgh for a special concert event. Known for her passionate fingerpicking, Raymond is set to perform tracks from her highly anticipated third studio album, Last Night I Heard the Dog Star Bark, out September 5th on Canadian label We Are Busy Bodies on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025 at 7pm at Untouchable (40 Liberty St, Newburgh, NY 12550),

Raymond’s new album is a mesmerizing fusion of ancient folk traditions and cosmic futurism, weaving occult folk horror with explorations of the stars. The lead single, “Jack Parsons Blues,” showcases Raymond’s virtuosic playing with Arabian flair and flamenco intensity, inspired by the 1940s rocket scientist and occultist Jack Parsons.

Raymond is supported by Canadian instrumentalist Christo Graham, as well as the Hudson Valley’s own lo-fi folk artist The Spookfish and Bronx-based psychedelic blues duo Blood Boy.
