![]() Eddie Allen, trumpeter, composer, arranger, and author, is one of the most versatile musicians on the New York scene. Performing across genres—jazz (big band and small ensemble), R&B, Latin, symphonic, and Broadway—he has worked with legends Art Blakey, Dizzy Gillespie, Benny Carter, and Joe Henderson. He has recorded, performed, and composed for artists such as Mongo Santamaria, Lester Bowie, Vanessa Rubin, and Muhal Richard Abrams. On Broadway, he’s played in shows including Ain’t Misbehavin’, Black & Blue, and Jelly’s Last Jam.
