The album features fan favorites and newly discovered songs from “lost” demos, showcasing their minimalist style and deep musical chemistry.
Kane, co-founder of The O’Kanes and Dead Reckoning Records, has written for legends like Emmylou Harris and John Prine.  The New York based Cuban jazz ensemble "Hot House", produced and directed by trumpeter Steven Gluzband, juxtaposes traditional Cuban dance forms with the jazz idiom. Gluzband has played with Latin superstars Tito Puente, Mongo Santamaría, Héctor Lavoe, Machito, Celia Cruz, Sonora Matancera, Orlando Contreras, Vicentico Valdez, Ray de la Paz, Larry Harlow, the Alegre All Stars; recorded 18 albums with the Haitian group Mini All-Stars; was a member of the Ray Barretto Orchestra, appearing on over 250 recordings including the Grammy-winning Ritmo en el Corazon and Naked; and has been a member of Johnny Pacheco's band since 2006.

Since its inception, The PKJP has presented a weekly jazz jam session accessible to all musicians and fans of live music. Over the past twelve years, the jam has been honored to host hundreds of musicians from the Tri-state area. This event is free to both participants and listeners. All with a passion for jazz are welcome.
