Nir Naaman is a multi-award-winning saxophonist and composer, and will be joined by Jordan Piper (piano), Bryan Copeland (bass) and Nadav Snir (drums). The quartet will play original music and a fresh take on jazz standards.
Nir has appeared in jazz festivals, clubs, TV shows and recording sessions. Performed professionally with artists such as George Cables, Eddie Marshall, Terri-Lyne Carrington, Paquito D'Rivera, Oscar Stagnaro, Steve Gadd, Abraham Laborial and John Riley. Toured in the United States, Europe, Israel and Japan. Nir resides in Brooklyn. He is involved in many musical projects and leads his own jazz quartet. His debut CD, Independence (2014), produced by George Cables, was hailed by Jazziz magazine as a "Rare Gem". $20 pp donation to the musicians. For reservations, call 914-737-1701. Wars have been won on the backs of Elephants. So the members, Dave and Sarah embolden their listeners by spreading their music to the masses through positive and creative thinking. Forming in 2020, during uncertain times Elephant Back took the opportunity to write innovative and engaging tunes. Douglas J. Cuomo: THE JUMP UP! (World Premiere, co-commissioned by Caramoor)
THE JUMP UP! is a celebration of the joy of communal music making, composed by Douglas J. Cuomo (Doubt, Arjuna’s Dilemma) for Sandbox Percussion and volunteer percussionists from the local community. This free outdoor performance will have the musicians roaming through Caramoor’s beautiful Sunken Garden, with the audience encouraged to freely move about the players, each listener navigating their own interaction with the music. Says Cuomo, “Making music together, and particularly drumming, creates such deep and powerful connections for everyone involved. The annual Rosendale Street Festival is BACK, boys and girls!!!!
This year, I'll be playing on the Café Stage! I'm going to have FUN, and you will, too! The festival (in case you never heard of it) is a family-friendly, two-day event that takes over Main Street and boasts a lot of stages, a whole lotta bands, over 100 of the best vendors in the Hudson Valley. There'll be parades, kids' crafts, film festivals, and lots of yummy eats! This is a completely volunteer-run event and proceeds go to supporting the music departments of the Kingston, New Paltz, and Rondout Valley School Districts. Loretta Hagen is a multi award winning singer songwriter based out of NJ. Her music is described as heart tugging, social conscious, fun, with poignant lyrics and catchy melodies sung with a soothing whiskey toned voice. Loretta has performed in many prestigious venues such as The Outpost In The Burbs, Music At The Mission, Turning Point Cafe, Town Crier, Sellersville Theater,as well as many music festivals, and shared the stage with well known artists such as Pete Seeger, John Gorka, Roger McGuinn, Johnny Winter, Kim Richie, to name a few. Her husband Gary is her music partner and described by fans as an extremely tasteful guitarist and producer. Both cut their teeth in Nashville for a number of years as well as the east coast. Loretta has released four critically acclaimed CDs that have been widely received by college and Indi radio shows across the country and Europe. Hagen plays live as a full band, trio or duo. | ||
