 Jazz vocalist Jaana Narsipur has just released a new album, "Better Than Anything," which is a tribute to the bebop and hard bop masters Bob Dorough and Horace Silver. "Better Than Anything" features original arrangements (all by Jaana Narsipur) of Dorough and Silver’s classic swing and groove tunes, as well as beautiful lesser-known gems from these jazz masters.
Jaana's band performs upbeat standards, Latin and Brazilian jazz, and soul-inflected tunes.
Produced by Cross Cultural Connections a 501c3 working to keep jazz traditions alive.

 Emily Mazzella is a 21-year-old, up and coming jazz singer on the scene.
Her 2023 release of her first full length recording, entitled “Awakening” (Solar Dream Records), produced by Lonnie Leibowitz, who plays piano and guitar on the record, also features the musical mastery of Michael Goetz on bass, appreciates, elevates, and communicates pure soul expression of the jazz language, (and its inherent spiritual totems). “Awakening”, and her live performances, have been capturing the ears and hearts of writers, critics, musicians, alike. Some moving words about the album are from that of the icon known as Jazz Vocalist Sheila Jordan... "Emily is a beautiful singer. Fronted by lead vocalist Michael Attanasio, the group draws on music from Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Joe Cocker, Sam & Dave and many more.

 Robert Bidney is a Southwest Florida-based singer-songwriter whose songs are both relatable and have a strong commercial sensibility, and whose messages are as strong as his melodies. Accompanying himself on both guitar and keyboards, he is a seasoned performer who connects with his audiences through his infectious energy and emotional performances. He has released three albums to date: Thank Goodness (2023), Rush of Hope (2019), and It’s All About The Love (2015) – all of which are available on the major digital download and streaming sites. He’s also written and produced national radio and TV jingles, and other artists have covered his songs. Not one to be pigeonholed into a particular musical style, Bidney writes and performs songs in a folk, Americana and folk-rock vein and has incorporated country, pop and musical theater stylings in his work as well. |

 Carlos Jimenez, is an extraordinary flute player and vocalist as well as composer and band leader of Jazz, Latin jazz and Salsa. His family moved to Villalba, Puerto Rico when he was 6 years old and it was there that his musical training began. Inspired by Mongo Santamaria, he pursued becoming a jazz flutist. He studied classical flute at the Music Conservatory of Westchester under Dave Fenucane and expanded into jazz, studying with master musicians Mario Rivera; Dave Valentin; Bobby Porcelli; Mitch Frohman; Vinnie Rickitelli; Rolando Briseno and Enrique Fernandez. He also studied harmony/voice with master pianist, Mike Longo, Alfredo Valdes Jr. and Hilton Ruiz.
Cárlos has recorded and performed with Hilton Ruiz, Hector Martignon, Edy Martinez, Barry Harris, Earl May, LeRoy Williams, Oscar Hernandez, Stephane Rongetz, Sonny Bravo, and Dave Valentin.
Show will be outside, weather permitting, or inside the BeanRunner Cafe.
