Alias Smith & Jones
Blues
BeanRunner Cafe
201 S. Division Street @ Esther
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Alias Smith & Jones bring us the best of the blues. This band make sparks fly with a roaring harmonica played by Sal Carolei, the powerful and sultry voice of Renee Flemings, and The Button Men, a group of seasoned veterans, monster musicians in their own right with awesome power and raw groove.

Reviews of their recent album, "Hit and Run" are stellar.

Bluestown Music Magazine says the album is "...funky, raw, sultry blues...powerful, soulful...hypothermic...A great debut mix of raw blues and soulful sound."

Dominique Boulay of Paris-Move & Blues Magazine (Fr) calls it an album "so well done that we can't resist telling you about it. Renee Flemings is a singer with a powerful voice and such an organ supported by excellent musicians can only produce an album of excellent quality. And that is exactly what it is about here."

$20 pp donation to musicians. On Esther St, or inside the BeanRunner Cafe in the case of rain.

“lyrics so poetic you will think about them long after the song ends” NPR

"Indie folk with soul and intellect... Their vocal blend is immaculate." Seven Days

"Inspired by literary voices... with complex musical textures involving repeated instrumental themes," Folk Radio UK

CRICKET BLUE’s dense, often dark narratives are delivered with musical and lyrical hooks. The duo of Laura Heaberlin and Taylor Smith are "Master Storytellers" according to NPR, as much as musicians. Listeners have lauded their songs as “an astonishing mix of original lyrics and arrangements that rewards the casual listener, as well as those who choose to lean forward and roll them around like great pieces of literature and composition”

The weave of their voices and guitar lines are exquisite, and reminiscent of chamber music at its finest..

Come enjoy original tunes written and performed by head brewer & farm owner Evan Watson!
Did you know, the name of the brewery was born out of Evan’s music career?
Evan moved to NYC in 2007 after graduating from college in Ohio to work with producer/songwriter Peter Zizzo. Within a year Evan entered a record deal and shortly after delivered his debut Album "A Town Called Blue". In 2009, Evan assembled a New York based band and began touring throughout the country including Bonnaroo & 10K Lakes Music festivals. Slowly building credibility playing regularly at NYC clubs like The Bitter End, Arlene's Grocery, Rockwood Music Hall, & The Bowery Electric. After years on the road opening at large venues for performers like Heart, Def Leppard, Meatloaf, OAR, Spin Doctors, & appearing on The Voice Season 7, Evan decided to pursue his passion in the world of beer. That is how his Plan A music career became his Plan B brewery career!

LIVE CONCERT - The Twangtown Paramours
Americana
Goshen Public Library & Historical Society
366 Main St.
Goshen, NY   See Map

The Twangtown Paramours is an award-winning husband and wife Americana duo from Nashville. They are three time Kerrville finalists and winners of Texas’s Wildflower Contest. In February, they released their third album, a full band retro Blues and Americana project called Double Down on a Bad Thing. The record was on the Americana and RMR Blues charts in the U.S. and was #11 on the U.K. Blues charts. Rock Doctor Magazine said this about the album: "While those first two acoustic records made it to #11 and #2 on the folk charts and received good reviews, my gut says THIS is the album that can get The Twangtown Paramours noticed by the world at large. The songs are thoughtful, well written and the production is faultless."

Hootenanny Cafe Mini Concerts
Online and on the radio, NY   See Map
Cassidy Dickens is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter originally from the mountains of southern West Virginia. Surrounded by Appalachia’s colorful storytelling, front porch picking, and rich vocal harmonies from day one, Cassidy has always been enamored by the singular power of music to capture fleeting memories and raw emotion. This lifelong enchantment has inspired a musical catalog overflowing with love, heartbreak, home, and other universal-yet-intensely-personal themes.

Cassidy’s debut album, Ghosts, released in 2014, earned her nominations for Beachcomber Magazine Music Awards’ Best Album & Female Vocalist of the Year. She then moved to Nashville in 2017 and co-produced her sophomore album, Anxious Love, with Californian artist/producer Ben Justus. The album drew cross-genre comparisons to lyrical icons like Patty Griffin and Lori McKenna, as well as contemporary powerhouse female artists like Alanis Morissette and Cam.
