The Ulysses Quartet, harpist Nuiko Wadden, and pipa soloist Sun Li traverse a world of plucked and bowed strings in a program featuring works by Tan Dun, Luciano Berio, Henriette Renié, and Rhiannon Giddens.
Brewed specially for the audience, PS21’s annual House Blend chamber music series features celebrated soloists and ensembles in programs of cutting edge new music and bold works of the past. With genre-defying collaborations that can only be experienced at PS21, we invite listeners to experience vital music in stimulating new ways. The Shandelee Music Festival’s (SMF) 30th anniversary season will be continued on Thursday, August 10 and will feature “An Evening of Piano” with Fei-Fei, a winner of the Concert Artists Guild Competition and a top finalist at the 14th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Featuring music by Rachmaninoff, Chopin, Debussy and Beethoven.
Tickets are $35 for adults, $30 for SMF members, and $10.00 for students 17 and under. All performances in the Sunset Concert Series begin at 8 p.m., and will be performed at SMF’s fully accessible, climate-controlled Sunset Concert Pavilion, located at 442 J.
