With Dan and Chris as the foundation, guitarist Mike DeMicco and pianist Chuck Lamb, complete this dynamic quartet. The Quartet’s last cd, LifeTimes was a hit on the Jazz Week radio chart where it made the Top Ten list as one of the most played jazz recordings of the year.

“Willie Nile is a great artist. If there was any justice in this world, I'd be opening up for him instead of him for me.” - Lucinda Williams

“The unofficial poet laureate of New York City.”—Uncut

“...one of the most gifted singer-songwriters to emerge from the New York scene in years.” -The New York Times

Video: "Blood On Your Hands" featuring Steve Earle. From the album The Day The Earth Stood Still:
https://youtu.be/LCM1QyWM-3M

https://www.popmatters.com/willie-nile-day-earth-stood-still

While many of us have struggled to salvage a sense of purpose from a year’s worth of isolation, veteran New York rocker Willie Nile has tapped into his own lockdown experience as a source of inspiration for the set of haunting new songs that comprise his emotion-charged release, The Day the Earth Stood Still (2021).

http://www.willienile.com/

Nile's gem-filled catalog encompasses blazing rock ’n’ roll, thoughtful folk-rock, intimate acoustic balladry and even an album of Bob Dylan covers. And while it’s hard to think of many recording artists who are doing some of their best work this far into their careers, Nile continues to seek out new creative challenges and conquer new musical territory.

He’s amassed an enthusiastic international fan base along the way that includes such admirers as Bruce Springsteen, with whom he's guested onstage on several occasions, and Pete Townshend, who personally requested him as the opening act on the Who’s historic 1980 U.S. tour. The list of avowed Nile fans also includes Bono, Lou Reed, Paul Simon, Ian Hunter, Graham Parker, Jim Jarmusch, Little Steven and Lucinda Williams.

"She is one of those wonderful spirits, she's got her arms around you; you can feel that." - Levon Helm

Fully integrating the depth and warmth of Gospel music with the the grit and deeper sensuality of the Blues, this release blends them seamlessly into a masterpiece of modern day Blues music. I love the way they roll, with this release. This will set them apart from the crowd, and earn them many new fans while cementing their place among the elite of the Blues. - Chef Jimi Patricola - Blues411

“Without a doubt the biggest voice and heart in the blues world today.” - Richard Briggs, Pres/Founder, Briggs Farm Blues Festival

https://alexispsuter.com/

Three-time Blues Music Award nominee, Suter was raised in Brooklyn, NY by a musically gifted family, and infused with the passion and the belief that music is an emotional and spiritual experience. On the gospel tune “I Just Got Off That Devil’s Train” - a duet on their most recent CD, "Be Love", Alexis joins with her 96 year old mother, gospel singer, Carrie Suter.

Miss Suter brings love and energy in abundance to each of her performances. Audiences may dance and sing along to rollicking roots songs or funky blues numbers, and later are wiping tears, stirred by an awe-inspiring version of "Let it Be", one of many songs that touch deeply. Alexis and her band are not just another musical act, but an energetic, emotional experience that fans return to time after time.

The core band, fellow Brooklyn natives Raymond Grappone (drummer) and Vicki Bell, (vocals and percussion) have been making music together for nearly twenty years. Grappone and Bell own and operate the Hipbone Records label.

Back in the mythic Summer of Love, 1967,, the club to be in was the Cafe Au Go Go, the Cafe's star band was the Blues Project.

With Blues Project bandmate, Al Kooper, STEVE KATZ founded the original Blood Sweat & Tears. The band won three Grammies, including an Album of the Year. Steve's influence on BS&T resulted in several chart-topping hits and record sales worldwide.
Steve left BS&T to pursue the craft of record production. One of his first was the Lou Reed's classic, Rock'n Roll Animal. He went on to work with Reed on two more albums before returning to his own musician roots in the country-rock band, American Flyer, whose first album was produced by the Beatles' George Martin.

ROY BLUMENFELD joined guitarist Danny Kalb in 1965 in the latter's new band, which became the Blues Project. Blumenfeld was one of the longest serving members of the renowned group, whose influences made them a major cult band of the '60s, and a huge influences on generations of other musicians.
He was there past its end: with Kulberg, he formed Seatrain out of the ruins of the Blues Project in 1968. He played on folk singer Mark Spoelstra's self-titled album for Columbia Records in 1969. Blumenfeld worked with Nick Gravenites in the '70s and Robert Hunter in the '80s and '90s, but his most visible gig was with Kooper on the live shows that became Soul of a Man.

CHRIS MORRISON's influence has been classic blues-based rock from the 60's/70's and the earlier blues that it grew from. Chris has played and collaborated with the Deja Blue Blues Band, rock power trio Colossus, and the ten-piece funk/soul review Moppin' Sauce. For many years he has been guitarist for the Clark Eno Orchestra.

A jazz-oriented organist, KEN CLARK is comfortable playing R&B, funk, and blues. In 1992, he formed - and still plays with - the Ken Clark Organ Trio. As a sideman, Clark has backed various female vocalists, including Fatwall Jack and swing/jump blues artist Michelle Willson. Clark's albums as a leader include The Ken Clark Organ Trio on Aspire Records and Eternal Funk (2003).

Award winning SCOTT PETITO is a gifted bassist and multi-instrumentalist who has performed on hundreds of recordings across multiple genres. Scott has worked with James Taylor, Pete Seeger, The Band, Jack DeJohnette, Don Byron and Dave Brubeck. He is a member of the seminal political/poetic rock group The Fugs. For many years he toured and recorded with partner, Leslie Ritter, with wordwide acclaim.
