	Alison Shearer is a saxophonist with tremendous style, lyricism, and intuition whose talents have brought her around the world. Alison was a founding member of PitchBlak Brass Band, a ten piece hip-hop brass band that received critical acclaim from DownBeat Magazine, NPR, Live for Live Music, Brooklyn Vegan, The Wall Street Journal, and The Source Magazine. 	The New York based Cuban jazz ensemble "Hot House", produced and directed by trumpeter Steven Gluzband, juxtaposes traditional Cuban dance forms with the jazz idiom. Gluzband has played with Latin superstars Tito Puente, Mongo Santamaría, Héctor Lavoe, Machito, Celia Cruz, Sonora Matancera, Orlando Contreras, Vicentico Valdez, Ray de la Paz, Larry Harlow, the Alegre All Stars; recorded 18 albums with the Haitian group Mini All-Stars; was a member of the Ray Barretto Orchestra, appearing on over 250 recordings including the Grammy-winning Ritmo en el Corazon and Naked; and has been a member of Johnny Pacheco's band since 2006. 	Originally from New York State, SERFA member Julie Grower lives in Nashville, TN. Her contemporary folk, country and rootsy pop songs have earned her two Billboard certificates of achievement. Her debut CD "In A New Light", co-produced by Jon Gordon, who has served as musical director and guitarist for Suzanne Vega and Madonna, receives regular airplay on independent U.S. and European radio. Julie has performed at The Bitter End, CBGB's Gallery, MacDougal Street Cafe (NYC), The Kendall Café (Boston), and throughout the northeast and UK. In Nashville, Julie appears at such venues as The Bluebird Café, Hotel Indigo, and The Commodore Lounge, and has had the opportunity to share the bill with songwriters Tia Sillers ("I Hope You Dance"); Lisa Carver ("Wake Up Older") and Chris Wallin ("Speed", "I'm Tryin' ) and Walt Aldridge ("Modern Day Bonnie and Clyde").
