“Werner’s touch on the piano is as soft as a ripe banana, just ready for the squeezing. A real delicate delight here.” – Jazz Weekly

https://kennywerner.com/

World-class pianist and composer, Kenny Werner, was awarded the 2010 Guggenheim Fellowship Award for his seminal work, No Beginning No End - a musical journey exploring tragedy and loss, death and transition, and the path from one lifetime to the next. Utilizing over 70 musicians, Kenny’s third album for Half Note Records is an expansive composition featuring Joe Lovano, Judy Silvano, Wind Ensemble, Choir and String Quartet.

Kenny continued to play in a duo with Toots Thielemans, the late legendary harmonica player, who left us in 2016. For twenty years, he has played with and arranged for Broadway legend, Betty Buckley. He also has had a nearly forty-year friendship and musical collaboration with Joe Lovano. They have recorded on a number of each other’s projects.

Kenny's groundbreaking publication on Improvisation, Effortless Mastery – Liberating the Master Musician Within, used his life experiences as a microscope into the artist’s mind to distill the emotional, spiritual, and psychological aspects of an artist's life. Werner touched off a revolution, inspiring musicians to do inner work on the mind, body, and soul - upgrading their musical experience from the mundane to the profound.

A site-specific, environmental adaptation of John Luther Adams's "Ten Thousand Birds" will be directed by the acclaimed experimental theater and opera director Ashley Tata at PS21 in Chatham, NY on Thursday, August 6 at 6 PM.

Instrumental sounds will commingle with the calls of wildlife, the rustling of leaves, and our own human footfalls. The Greyhounds deliver the exciting sounds of the late 50's through the early 60's, infused with an edgy street vibe that brings the spirit of old-time Sock Hops into the 21st century. Let the good times roll!

thegreyhoundsny.com

Pure, straight-ahead rock n' roll, The Greyhounds, a five-piece band from Poughkeepsie NY realized their shared interest in back-to-basics, rhythm-driven rock n' roll and joined forces to form one rockin' unit.

A dedication to their musical roots comes though at full speed. Their blend of Rockabilly, Rhythm & Blues, with the twang of Classic Country and the drive of 60's Beat and Surf instrumentals, roar on all cylinders.

The result is Rock n' Roll in its purest form - dynamic, joyful, powerful and honest.

"Equally at home picking a vintage Dobro, an old National resonator guitar, or laying down a fat horn voicing on a tripleneck 8-string steel, Cashdollar is a master of bluegrass, gut-bucket blues, honky-tonk, swampy R&B, and Western Swing." - Frets Magazine

restlessage.com

The Restless Age is a collaboration - a harmony of Will Bryant, Lee Falco and Brandon Morrison. Each player brings a unique song and voice to the bandstand, as the trio spans generations and genres.

The members of The Restless Age have been a premier rhythm section throughout New York’s Hudson Valley for the past half-decade. As the house band for Amy Helm's 'Oh to be Home Again' at Levon Helm Studios, they performed behind Donald Fagen, John Sebastian and Graham Nash, as well as being Kate Pierson's (The B-52's) touring band in support of her 2015 debut album 'Guitars & Microphones’. During that same year they toured the U.S. & Canada supporting the The Waterboys and The Gipsy Kings along with fellow Hudson Valley singer-songwriter Connor Kennedy.

Lee Falco, Brandon Morrison and Will Bryant rose to national attention backing Donald Fagen of Steely Dan, as "The Nightflyers" on his 2017 national tour.

Now, with their harmonious indie rock The Restless Age steps out as a unit of songwriters, singers and instrumentalists.
