Kingston Artist Collective
63 Broadway
Kingston, NY   See Map
Wendy Eisenberg is an improvising guitarist, banjo-player, vocalist and poet. Using the languages of free jazz, new music, metal and art song, her music challenges the representational and technical demands placed on a guitar and a banjo in contemporary music.

She has two solo careers: improviser/composer, and songwriter. Wendy’s debut record as an improviser, “Its Shape Is Your Touch,” came out in October 2018. Her trio, “The Machinic Unconscious,” with Ches Smith and Trevor Dunn, released their debut album on Tzadik that same months. Both records made Billboard’s Critic’s Choice Top Ten Jazz Records year end list, and received features and attention from NPR and National Sawdust. Her album of quiet art-pop songs, Time Machine was remastered and re-released on Feeding Tube records on September 7th, 2018.

A one night only, solo performance.

“Unconventional, joyous, virtuosic, timeless,” are just some of the terms used to describe the artistry of John Scofield. One of the principal innovators of modern jazz guitar, Scofield’s guitar work has influenced jazz since the late 70’s and continues to do so today. Possessor of a very distinctive sound and stylistic diversity, Scofield is a masterful jazz improviser whose music generally falls somewhere between post-bop, funk edged jazz, and R&B. A creative artist of a rare sort, John Scofield is a stylistic chameleon who has forged a consistent, rock-solid aesthetic identity. “The modern messiah of ‘Terminator jazz’ (DownBeat).”

“Imagine if Hank Williams had mutated into Captain Beefheart, acquiring a bunch of primitive electronic equipment along the way, and you’ll get some idea of where Johnny Dowd is at... Gloriously deviant.“ - The Independent (London)

http://www.johnnydowd.com/

“Dowd has made a career of making music full of piercingly bleak, hard fought, gnarled dreamscapes that make David Lynch’s tales seem like those of a choir boy. But just when I thought I had him figured out, Dowd delivers a blues record so beautiful that I cannot stop playing it. It is also full of demons that live on a merry-go-round with feedback and distortion taking the placesof the painted ponies going up and down. Paradoxically, it’s his most accessible music in quite a while, maybe ever.” - No Depression (US)

This is a man clearly in charge of his musical vision, and that vision includes a broad grasp of rock’s so-called rich tapestry. Johnny's latest album, Family Picnic (2019)!

“...one of the best guitarists in the country...” - Billboard

http://www.scottsharrard.com/

2018 GRAMMY nominee Scott Sharrard had been the touring guitarist for the Gregg Allman Band since the Fall of 2008. Gregg Allman, had high praise for the guitarist...

“I know all about guitar players —I’ve seen the very best — and Scott Sharrard is the perfect guitarist for my band. He understands that you don’t need to play just for the sake of playing; Scott isn’t one of those guys who thinks they’re getting paid by the note. He never steps on the vocals, and leaves plenty of room for everyone else to do their thing, but when it’s time to solo, Scott delivers, boy.”

While acting as Musical Director & Co-Writer for Allman and recording Gregg's album Southern Blood (2017) in Muscle Shoals, Scott had also been concentrating on the growth of his solo career.

She starred on the big screen as ‘Sadie’ in Julie Taymor’s Beatles-based musical, Across the Universe, putting her undeniable lead vocal stamp on “Helter Skelter,” “Don’t Let Me Down” and “Why Don’t We Do It in the Road.” Dana made a brief cameo in the ensemble piece New York, I Love You, had a starring role opposite Method Man in The Mortician and wrote and performed on the soundtrack to the Maggie Gyllenhaal movie, Sherrybaby. Dana has ignited performance stages all over the world with her burnt-honey vocals and bruisingly honest songwriting.
