 ToasterBasket is a dynamic group of five musicians deconstructing, fusing, and re-serving up the sounds of soul, jazz, blues, and funk into a mosaic of “modern motown rock” for your listening pleasure. ToasterBasket is inclusive, cohesive, and improvisational. It is the raw and husky verses of songstress Jezebel Jeffrey, and the syncopated tones of keyboardist Patrick Stokes that started the story of this New York group. This Saturday, September 7th, Doc and Elizabeth will take to the stage to offer their soulful and unique brand of Americana to their folk music tribe. They’ll have a little help from Doc's daughter Carlyn who has had extensive music and stage experience, as she joins in on selected tunes.
The open mic portion of the evening is a great opportunity for newcomers and seasoned performers to share their music with a welcoming and appreciative audience. All styles of music - as well as spoken word - are welcome. Piano available.
