Since emigrating from his native Scotland in 2014 Lorkin O'Reilly has been making a name for himself throughout the Northeast. His unique transatlantic approach blends Celtic inspired open tunings with direct and personal lyrics. His writing reflects not only his own reality, but a reality faced by most of us; the purgatory between childhood and adulthood, between new home and old home and finally the overarching struggle of finding a new identity.

A night of jaw dropping indie rock.

“It’s the sound resurrected from the unfinished basements and echoing from the two car garages.”

https://m.facebook.com/marlborotheband/

Hudson Valley Anti Folk band MARLBORO, is fronted by singer-songwriter Dante DeFelice (Vocals/Guitar), Elliot Cash (Guitar), Duncan Clark (Bass), Matt Bliss (Drums) and Sean Merryman (Keys).

They will break your heart and make you laugh/cry with their infectious songs. Sounds of the 60's folk and underground rock movement dance behind avant-garde arrangements, floating electric guitar chatter and DeFelice's crafty wordsmithing.

Marlboro is releasing their debut album “Convertible Life”.

Unfailingly sturdy and open-hearted songs, rock-energized bluegrass propulsion with a soulful, humble overtone.

Featuring: Ryan Reutershan / Acoustic Guitar Benjy Bruno / Mandolin Pete Newman / Upright Bass Evan Shultis / Fiddle Roger LaRochelle / Drums

https://www.itkmusic.com

In The Kitchen got their start in the steamy kitchen of a second story apartment in Rosendale NY. It was a warm midsummer evening and the boys started plucking sweet sounds as chicken, potatoes and green beans sizzled in the oven.

In The Kitchen plays a mix of Americana music, with hints of bluegrass, country, ad soul, peppering their songwriting.Their live sets move through a range of emotions, with plenty of danceable, driving tunes, balanced with slow grooves, and earnest lyrics and singing.

Their latest album, Almost Almost There, was recorded in a log cabin nestled in the Catskill Mountains.

“Yard Sale’s music with its strumming banjos and hand clapping choruses suggest that the good ol’ days aren’t too far away.” - Nicole Barnhart, New Paltz Oracle

http://www.iloveyardsale.com/

Featuring: Taylor Davis / Banjo/Drums, Charlie Schikowitz / Mandolin/Fiddle, Theo Schikowitz / Upright Bass, Rick Birmingham / Guitar/Fiddle

The Hudson Valley based acoustic quartet Yard Sale plays a ramshackle, hip, and politically potent Americana music, equally in love with Ernest Tubb and with Sam Cooke. Yard Sale’s debut full-length Every Day moves from backwoods holler-alongs and heartbreakers to art-folk gems, to topical and progressive new-folk, and a variety of groove songs that reveal the band’s abiding love of gospel and old soul.

Every Day is released on Team Love Records, the boutique Americana and indie rock label, and mixed by Bill Reynolds (formerly of Band of Horses) at Fleetwood Shack in Nashville.

Established in 2017, the VFE School of Rock began as a guitar program with over eighty students, teaching the basics of guitar. In its second year VFE School of Rock offered students new opportunities, and expanded to include a drum program. The program now offers sessions for new and advanced guitar players, and an opportunity to perform in front of an audience as “The Falcons” named for their school mascot.

"Winard Harper is one of his generation's greatest standards bearers." Downbeat Magazine

Winard Harper has performed with some of the greatest names in jazz. At 20, he was playing the drums first with Dexter Gordon, and then Johnny Griffin, and honed his chops for the next four years under the tutelage of the late, great Betty Carter.

With his brother Philip Harper on trumpet, Winard led The Harper Brothers, one of the hottest groups of the post-bop era and produced the chart topping Remembrance: Live at the Village Vanguard.

Winard has released four CD's to his credit: Be Yourself (1994), Trap Dancer (1998), Winard (1999), and Faith with Carrie Smith (2000). He is one of the most sough-after sidemen on the jazz circuit; has been exploring African rhythms that influence his work, and is noted for his abilities on the cymbals, which under his hand become an outstanding solo instrument all their own.

"Popa Chubby’s a big man....but his music is much bigger....[Chubby will] continue carrying the torch for the blues....and put on a damn good show. What more can one say?" - Elmore

http://popachubby.wix.com/popachubby

Chubby continues to play more than 200 club dates a year, and has released numerous albums worldwide, since. Most notably, his Sony/Okeh debut, 'Booty and the Beast', was produced by longtime Atlantic Records engineer/producer TOM DOWD, whose recordings are legendary!

Popa Chubby latest album "Prime Cuts: The Very Best of the Beast from the East", is self-selected “greatest hits” collection includes favorite cuts from his nearly three decades of bringing his version of the blues to the people. No one can accuse Ted Horowitz (aka: Popa Chubby) of taking the easy route on his long musical journey, but in doing it “his way” he has managed to gather plenty of fans along the way.

Blend a powerful singer, crisp acoustic guitar player and a heartfelt observer of the world and you have singer-songwriter, Lynn Hollyfield. Her "indie-folk-pop style," (Leicasterbangs, UK), reflects an infusion of many influences including great jazz artists, such as Ella Fitzgerald, to contemporary influences of John Hiatt, Shawn Colvin and CSNY. The resulting blend is her own voice, mingling wit, a silky sweetness and thoughtful reverie to her songwriting and performance. Hollyfield has two solo recordings, Layers (2010) and In the Balance (2014). Both recordings listed in the Top Albums of the Year-Folk DJ Listserv and received numerous Washington Area Music Award nominations including Album, Songwriter and Artist of the Year. "Some artists are known for their voice or their delivery or maybe their songs or for their guitar playing. Lynn is not just 'some artist.' She delivers ALL of these with depth and clarity, one gorgeous song at a time." Ruthie Logsdon
