"Cookpot (2017) is a boiling and bubbling cauldron of African hi-life and every other kind of rhythmic style....a moving feast of homegrown music, heavily inflected with jazzy improvisations....often mixing Earth, Wind and Fire grooves with percussive tumbling....set on a collision course with myriad of styles in the popular realm." - World Music Report

http://paakowmusic.com

Widely recognized as one of the most remarkable drummers to tour in Africa, Europe, and the US, Paa Kow has toured internationally, sharing stages with both African and American luminaries.

The Ghana-born drummer and composer, Paa Kow, (pronounced Pah-Ko), blends the rhythm and artistry of his home with jazz and African roots, creating his own Afro-Fusion sound.

His release, Cookpot, (2017) has all the ingredients and deep rhythms to tastefully serve up that cookin' groove Paa Kow calls Afro-Fusion.

“...one of the best guitarists in the country...” - Billboard

http://www.scottsharrard.com/

2018 GRAMMY nominee Scott Sharrard had been the touring guitarist for the Gregg Allman Band since 2008. Gregg Allman, had high praise for the guitarist...

“I know all about guitar players —I’ve seen the very best — and Scott Sharrard is the perfect guitarist for my band. He understands that you don’t need to play just for the sake of playing; Scott isn’t one of those guys who thinks they’re getting paid by the note. He never steps on the vocals, and leaves plenty of room for everyone else to do their thing, but when it’s time to solo, Scott delivers, boy.”

While acting as Musical Director & Co-Writer for Allman and recording "Southern Blood" in Muscle Shoals, Scott was concentrating on the growth of his solo career, as well, while holding Gregg's legacy near and dear - a guiding light and a point of everlasting inspiration.

"The Big Takeover heats up its classic reggae and ska stylings with a horn-powered Motown bounce and pop verve straight from the 1960s and ’70s." - PULSE

https://www.bigtakeoverband.com/

The Big Takeover plays original music that is rooted in and reverent toward the genres and rhythms of Jamaican pop: reggae, rocksteady, ska. They are devotees of Desmond Dekker and the way the old school did it. At the same time, The Big Takeover crosses lines and blends traditions like global pop fusionists.

The bands latest single is a cover of Sophia George's 1985 Dancehall hit - "Girlie Girlie" - it was recorded as part of a UK compilation album containing 40 covers of classic Trojan Records hits from artists across the world. It was produced by Manuel Quintana (Rachel Yamagata, Robbie Dupree, among others) & Rob Kissner, and mixed by Grammy Award Winning engineer Danny Blume.
