The Moonlights is an inspired collaboration between songwriters Rachel Loshak and Dean Jones. It all began in the winter of 2016 with just the flash of an idea taken up together in joyful spirit – and now, with their distinctive yet complimentary styles of music, the duo has created a stirring and deeply satisfying collection of beautiful, quirky songs for all ages.

Barbara Dempsey (vocals and guitar) and DeWitt Nelson (bass and vocals) comprise a husband-and-wife team. They have been playing together in various bands as well as the duet for over a decade, defying categorization, performing songs that span the gamut from well-thought-out originals to blues, jazz, rock, and pop standards.
When Amy Laber picks up her guitar and begins to sing, you sense a yearning soul with the courage to tell her story. Her milk-and-honey voice and confident guitar picking blend to deliver "songs that are honest and real.” says Chronogram Magazine

Joe Lynn Turner's music career was turned around one day when, after extensive touring in the NJ band "Fandango," he received a call from legendary guitarist Ritchie Blackmore, who enlisted Joe to be the frontman between Blackmore and Roger Glover in "Rainbow," a band they formed after leaving Deep Purple. "Stone Cold" was Rainbow's first Top 40 pop radio hit and the band's innovative videos were in heavy airplay rotation on MTV. Turner co-wrote and/or sang on Rainbow singles that helped define the melodic rock genre: "I Surrender," "Can't Happen Here," "Jealous Lover," "Death Alley Driver," "Street of Dreams" and "Can't Let You Go."
12 Grapes' once-monthly Kids Open Mic is a showcase for talented musicians and singers ages 6 - 17. It's one of the longest running Open Mics for young people in Westchester.

Deafness is a hardship for anyone, but for a musician it is catastrophic. When Ludwig van Beethoven first experienced loss of hearing as a young man, he contemplated suicide, but he made the decision to resist his suicidal impulses and instead fulfill his artistic destiny. Harvard-trained psychiatrist and Juilliard-trained concert pianist Dr. Richard Kogan gives a lecture/concert that examines how Beethoven became a greater composer once locked inside the silent world of his imagination. Dr. Kogan explores the psychological basis of Beethoven’s creative life and will illuminate the discussion with performances of some of Beethoven’s most extraordinary music.

Anne Carpenter is a gifted vocalist and songwriter. One of Anne's early compositions, "Holland" was recorded by Sloan Wainwright. She frequently sings with the award-winning KJ Denhert and is a backup singer for the Soul/R&B band, Steve Wexler & the Top Shelf. Anne has performed at such prestigious venues as The Cutting Room, 55 Bar and of course 12 Grapes, with JP Patrick, Electric Beef and many others.

An intimate night of songwriting and pop rock ’n roll as Frank Migliorelli performs songs from his new album Bass, Drums Guitars and Organs. Released this past month, the album has been featured on WFUV’s Mixed Bag program, WDST’s Locally Grown Show in Woodstock, and has received strong reviews across the blogosphere. Glide Magazine says "Migliorelli and company have produced a winner in the vein of Tom Petty’s Wildflowers or early Wilco efforts.” Music blogger Michal Doherty says the album is a collection of “...delicious pop tunes, with a bit of country, a bit of rock and roll, some good lyrics and plenty of positive vibes. It’s all fairly straightforward, and it’s that approach wherein lies its charm.”

David Kraai doles out a set in his hometown as part of the New Paltz Fire Department's RecruitNY Open House! RecruitNY is a state-wide program in which local volunteer emergency services open their doors to the public for a day of demonstrations and activities. The New Paltz Rescue Squad will also be taking part in this all ages, free event. There will be plenty of live music, food & fun until 4pm... so mosey on out!

- It will feature some of the best artists, food, wines, beers, full bar, crafts and more. Proceeds will benefit HONOR of Middletown, N.Y. HONOR has been helping Orange County's most needy residents since 1974.

We are already excited for spring when warm light will beam through the windowpanes of our old industrial factory by the river once more, welcoming back one of Basilica Hudson's most beloved annual programs, 24-HOUR DRONE: EXPERIMENTS IN SOUND AND MUSIC. 
T.J. Santiago will be joined by a guest at the Applewood Winery. Making great music while you sip great wine and hard cider in a beautiful setting with friends. 
Key of Q, the Hudson Valley’s LGBTQ and Allied A Cappella Chorus, will present its Spring 2017 Concert, Finding Home, at 7 pm on Saturday, April 29th at the Hudson Valley LGBTQ Center, 300 Wall St., Kingston NY, and at 3pm on Sunday, April 30th at the Morton Memorial Library, 82 Kelly St, Rhinecliff NY. This upbeat group of singers will perform contemporary pop and folk/rock tunes --among them, music from Cyndi Lauper, Phillip Phillips, Tears for Fears and more!

Annette A. Aguilar (multi-percussionist, Band leader recording artist, producer and educator.) was born in San Francisco into a family from Nicaragua. 
Melissa Etheridge stormed onto the American rock scene in 1988 with the release of her critically acclaimed self-titled debut album, which led to an appearance on the 1989 Grammy Awards show.
For several years, her popularity grew around such memorable originals as “Bring Me Some Water,” “No Souvenirs,” and “Ain’t It Heavy,” for which she won a Grammy in 1992. “Come to My Window,” a searing song of longing from her fourth album, Yes I Am (1993), brought Etheridge her second Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Performance. In 1995, Etheridge issued her highest charting album, Your Little Secret, distinguished by the hit single “I Want to Come Over.”
Known for her confessional lyrics and raspy, smoky vocals, Etheridge has remained one of America’s favorite female singer-songwriters for more than two decades. Do not miss Melissa Etheridge accompanied by a full band at the Paramount Theater on April 29th!
