 Called "one of the great voices of today," Alexis Cole has been compared to classic jazz singers such as Sarah Vaughan and Anita O'Day. Her luxurious voice and innovative interpretations make her an instant favorite with audiences of all ages.
Cole is the recipient of a Swing Journal Gold Disk award, and was a winner of the NY Jazzmobile and Montreux Jazz Festival vocal competitions. She records for Motéma Music, NY, Chesky Records, NY and Venus Records Japan. Her recordings have received high praise in the jazz press and are spun on radio world-wide. In addition to her many performances at top jazz venues like Dizzy's Club at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Birdland, The Jazz Standard, Blues Alley, and Billboard Live, she's also performed at Avery Fisher Hall and the Kennedy Center and had been a featured soloist with the Boston Pops and NY Philharmonic.  This Wonderful Life is a one-man play beautifully acted by Jeremy Kendall. Based on the iconic holiday favorite film, “It’s a Wonderful Life”, the production brings to life over 32 familiar people in an amazing display of physical and verbal virtuosity. Kendall portrays the Jimmy Stewart-inspired George Bailey, and the whole cast of loveable characters from Bedford Falls, including Clarence the Angel, Mary, Zuzu, and all the townsfolk who rely on him to save them from the greedy Mr. Potter. Like the film, the play centers around the character of George, a man who has given up his dreams in order to help others, and whose imminent suicide on Christmas Eve brings about the intervention of his guardian angel, Clarence. Clarence shows George all the lives he has touched and how different life in his community of Bedford Falls would be had he never been born. Jeremy’s 75 minute tour-de-force is at once inspiring, funny, poignant, and most of all, uplifting. |

 Celeste Fleurival has been a frequent guest vocalist for various bands at 12 Grapes, including JP Patrick's "Sessions" and Electric Beef, and was a finalist in a singing competition we had last year. Celeste's band is a collection of some of the finest performers in the Hudson Valley -- the incomparable Tito Wilson on drums/backing vocals, Larry Gardner on keys, Joe Lee Henderson on guitar, Adrian Calonico on bass.
Celeste began her vocal career in her HS Choir, touring throughout the US in various ensembles. Her strong vocal ability and energetic stage presence soon transitioned her into the field of musical theater. Her first public professional appearance began at the legendary Apollo Theater stage in the "Stars of Tomorrow" segment at the age of 17. Celeste still continues to perform in the New York City metro area.

 James Keelaghan is one of Canada’s most esteemed songsmiths. Keelaghan has released 11 CD’s over the last three decades, winning numerous accolades in the process. He was nominated for 5 Juno awards, the Canadian equivalent of a Grammy, winning that honor for best roots and traditional album in 1994.

 The New York based Cuban jazz ensemble "Hot House", produced and directed by trumpeter Steven Gluzband, juxtaposes traditional Cuban dance forms with the jazz idiom, young musicians with veteran players, and Cuban émigrés with first and second generation Americans. The result of this remarkable collaboration is a fresh mix that can only be Latin jazz from NYC. Hot House debuted their 2008 release, "Cuban Tribute to Charlie Parker" which was
included in five categories in the Grammy awards.
Gluzband has played with Latin superstars Tito Puente, Mongo Santamaría, Héctor Lavoe, Machito, Celia Cruz, Sonora Matancera, Orlando Contreras, Vicentico Valdez, Ray de la Paz, Larry Harlow, the Alegre All Stars; recorded 18 albums with the Haitian group Mini All-Stars; was a member of the Ray Barretto Orchestra, appearing on over 250 recordings including the Grammy-winning Ritmo en el Corazon and Naked; and has been a member of Johnny Pacheco's band since 2006.

Fronted by Donny and his Gibson acoustic, 4 Gun Ridge plays original gritty cowboy rock the way you like it. The old time outlaw country influence is obvious but, they never shook off their dirty rock roots. Imagine upbeat southern rock played by upstate NY blue collar boys. Good tunes and good times.

| The Warwick Valley Chorale will perform three concerts for the 2016 holiday season. The concerts, directed by Stanley Curtis and accompanied by Gail Johnson, will present a full range of holiday choral music that includes joyful Baroque selections and everyone’s holiday favorites, such as Winter Wonderland and It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year. Curtis will lead the 100-plus member group in a selection of brilliant, uplifting and inspiring holiday music ranging from Vivaldi, Bach and Handel to John Rutter and Irving Berlin. Free admission; donations accepted.

 Time once again for our monthly presentation of Greg Westhoff's Westchester Swing Band! This world-class 18-piece Big Band features a full horn section with 5 sax's, 4 trombones, 4 trumpets, and the inimitable talents of drummer and bandleader Greg Westhoff. The band performs classic Swing music, Sinatra, Broadway selections and songs from the '40's, '50's and more.
Greg Westhoff has performed on the Tonight Show and is the orchestra drummer for "Family Guy". Greg also performed with Walter Murphy and the Big Apple Band on the popular disco-era hit " A Fifth of Beethoven". Members of the Swing Band are all professional musicians who've performed in Broadway pits and with numerous industry greats.
$5 Cover or higher donation goes directly to the band.

 Saxophonist Maceo Parker embodies the legacy of soul and funk music like no other musician can. Always at the forefront, Maceo has been a common thread in the history of funk — helping to pioneer the sound of the genre in collaborations alongside seminal icons like James Brown, George Clinton, and Prince, all the while honing his own signature brand of showmanship. Leading his flawlessly tight band with a cool confidence, Maceo transports audiences to the slickest of eras in performances that are positively timeless.
Maceo will soon re-release Roots Revisited — The Bremen Concert, a live recording from the first incarnation of Maceo’s own band in 1990 (which, at the time, included Fred Wesley on trombone, Pee Wee Ellis on tenor saxophone, Larry Goldings on B-3 organ, Rodney Jones on guitar, and Bill Stewart on drums).
Maceo’s current band hits the road in celebration of repertoire spanning the prolific career of this funk legend: 50 Years of Funk.

Described as “possessing the ingenious activist zeal combined with the poetic skepticism of Leonard Cohen,” Erika’s powerful voice and carefully crafted songs are reaching people across the globe. Based in Nova Scotia, Erika has performed internationally in venues ranging from the Bitter End in New York City to the World Social Forum in Caracas. Her album, Angel on the Road, won Music Nova Scotia’s Inspirational Recording of the Year in 2015 and her new album, Rise Up is garnering awards from Ireland to Florida and has charted Top Ten on Folk DJ and Roots Charts. Erika won a Watson Fellowship to study music for social change in six countries, was a finalist for the International Acoustic Music awards, and has received international airplay. |
