Peekskill, NY   See Map
Two-time Latin Grammy nominee Michael Tate leads 3D Rhythm of Life, a band the blends the sounds of Latin, R&B, Reggae and the flavors of the Caribbean. The band's melodies are reminiscent of classic Latin performers like Marc Anthony and Carlos Santana, and their original style of LATIN-TROPICAL-SOUL.

Tonight we celebrate 3D Rhythm of Life's latest release, "FANTASY", their hit video single and the title of their new full length album. The Latin-Tropical-Soul version of FANTASY is the first of its kind. Originally recorded by the super group Earth Wind and Fire, FANTASY has fast become a mega hit and an international favorite.

3D Rhythm of Life just performed at the 10th Annual Peekskill Jazz & Blues Festival, and immediately captivated the crowds with their percussion, vocals and cool Latin-Tropical-Soul sound. This is a DO NOT MISS show! Reservations highly recommended.

Hipbone Records recording artist Alexis P Suter with Ray Grappone, drummer/percussionist, producer/vocalist Vicki Bell and Dave Keyes on keyboards/vocals deliver their mix of Gospel, Blues, Traditional, poignant, and time-honored American music, up-close and personal.

Blues Music Award nominee Alexis P. Suter is a powerhouse bass/baritone vocalist with the ability to go to "that other place" where singers go when they are lost in the music. It is no wonder the late B.B. King and the late Levon Helm were big fans. Suter and her band have played nearly 100 of Helm’s shows in Woodstock NY and opened for “The King” when he visited her hometown of NYC.

The Ministers of Sound feature Ray Grappone (APSB, Buster Poindexter, Levon Helm) on drums and percussion, Vicki Bell (APSB, Open Door, Corey Daye) on vocals and percussion, and Dave Keyes (Smokey Joe's Cafe, Odetta, Bo Diddley, David Johansen, Popa Chubby).

Pete and Maura Kennedy, both East Coast natives, met in Austin, TX, joined forces with Nanci Griffith’s Blue Moon Orchestra, and set out on a road that, for two decades, has led them all over the US and the UK many times. This year, they celebrate their twentieth anniversary both as a band and a married couple. Rather than indulge in a nostalgic look backward, they’ve taken Dylan’s dictum “don’t look back” to heart; writing and recording 40 new songs.

Since their last show with us, they each released solo CDs, and together, they released “West,” that seamlessly weaves their influences over the last two decades. The Kennedys are hitting a songwriting high point, and from that point they follow the well-worn American path West.

How did a humble, banjo-playing Harvard dropout become one of the most influential figures of the twentieth century? “Sing It,” Meryl Danziger’s new biography of Pete Seeger, presents the life of the legendary folksinger through the lens of music as a tool for activism. What was it like to hop freight trains with Woody Guthrie, the composer of “This Land Is Your Land?” “The Lion Sleeps Tonight,” a song beloved by people all over the world, might have been lost to history were it not for Pete Seeger. The Hudson River is cleaner than it used to be; what did Pete do to help that happen? Like Pete, Meryl was raised in a musical household where she was free to explore instruments and learn music on her own. As part of a long career sharing music with children, Meryl has written songs, poems, stories and plays designed to pass on the legacies of influential musicians. It was one of those plays, written in honor of Pete’s ninetieth birthday that led to the creation of her book.
