a tribute concert in remembrance and celebration of the life of iconic folksinger, Phil Ochs. The guest Emcee for the evening will be Sonny Och who is the sister of the late Phil Ochs. This special Folk Guild concert will take place on Friday evening, June 10th, 8pm, at the Hyde Park United Methodist Church, Rt. 9 and Church Street in Hyde Park, NY 12538. After Nepal suffered a series of devastating earthquakes, political and economic problems this past year, the Nepali people are in dire need of our help in many ways. In addition to rebuilding infrastructure and housing, the Nepali need positive and constructive events and programs to continue and encourage education and pride in their culture and traditions. With our performance, we hope to raise funds to produce an annual event in Nepal so that the young people of Nepal will be encouraged to learn their traditional music, for people of all ages to come to hear, see, and experience the joy of traditional music. At these concerts, there will be contests, workshops and performances for people at a variety of levels and ages giving people a chance to showcase their talents and to learn about Nepali traditional music.

Award winning, New York bred saxophonist, Ray Blue, brings his quartet to stage to create a deep, rich fusion of straight ahead jazz and African groove.
Ray has performed and recorded with Bernard Purdie, Patience Higgins, Steve Turre, The Sun Ra Arkestra, Cotton Club All Stars, Harlem Blues and Jazz Band and many others. He has toured as a cast member of the "Ray Charles Show"; performed at international jazz festivals including the Zanzibar International Film Festival; North Sea Jazz Festival-Cape Town, South Africa; Audi Jazz Festival-Brussels, Belgium; and the Foix Jazz Festival, France among others; and was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame, 2013.

 Once per month for 8 years, Greg's Swing Band has entertained audiences at 12 Grapes with their Big Band sound. This is by far the longest running event of it’s kind.
Swing to the music of the Big Band era -- from Benny Goodman, Lional Hampton and Tommy Dorsey -- as well as Sinatra and Broadway hits from the '40s and '50s.
The band features Joe Carpentieri on vocals, five saxophones, four trombones, four trumpets, a double bass, piano, guitar and drummer and bandleader Greg Westhoff. Members of the Swing Band are all professional musicians who've performed in Broadway pits and with numerous industry greats. Bandleader Greg Westhoff is the orchestra drummer for the hit show, "Family Guy". Greg also performed with Walter Murphy and the Big Apple Band on the popular disco-era hit, "A Fifth of Beethoven".
100 performances, once a month on a Sunday, all at one venue. Now that's BIG!

Texan Brian Kalinec and Pennsylvanian Kj Reimensnyder-Wagner met by chance during one of Brian's shows in East Texas in 2013 when Kj happened to be in nearby Shreveport, Louisiana where she was conducting a seminar in educational songwriting. Later that year, when she came down to Texas on a trip, they had a chance to play a few songs together. Their impressive combined sound--songs, voices, and musicianship--convinced them that they should perform shows as a duo and began to do so the following year. They are touring in the Northeast, in Colorado, and in Texas this year.
Brian's writing has drawn favorable comparisons to that of Woody Guthrie, John Steinbeck, Rodney Crowell, and Jim Croce.
Kj is a full-time touring Singer-Songwriter. She has performed across the US and the UK as a solo artist and along with other artists including Steve Weisberg, Ted Vigil, and Dougie MacLean at noted venues and festivals.

KJ won TWO Independent Music Awards in 2015; a Judges award for her song "Beautiful" (Jazz with Vocal) and a VOX Pop award for her Album, "Destiny". KJ's special blend of "Urban Folk & Jazz" has earned her not only these two prestigious awards, but also 4 other IMA nominations. KJ's song "Choose Your Weapon" was also a finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, World Category. And in '09, KJ was named one of Jazz.com's top female vocalists. Quite impressive. But nothing is more moving than hearing KJ perform.
The band consists of Brian Hollander, vocals and guitar; Tim Kapeluck, vocals and mandolin; Geoff Harden, vocals and bass; Guy ‘Fooch’ Fischetti on pedal steel and fiddle; and master of the banjo, Bill Keith. The band has been together over 14 years and has performed every Thursday in Woodstock for the last nine years. Traditional bluegrass, new songs, some jazz, old country classics, originals by the band and favorite writers like John Herald and Tom Pacheco, all dot the driving repertoire that is marked by sweet three part harmony.
