Wednesday Night Jam The Postage Inn 838 Rt. 32 Tillson, NY www.postageinn.com

We've been having a great time playing our bluesy jazzy originals and have been joined by dozens of fine players to jam on tunes of many genres.

We will be playing a short opening set at 8 PM then sharing the stage with other musicians and friends.

JOIN US FOR GOOD FOOD, DRINKS AND GROOVING TUNES. (check out the music night menu and home made deserts)

(Musicians note) There will be a sign up sheet for any players who want to take the stage. The PA, guitar and bass amp and drums will be provided. We will try to match players for the best musical expression. Each player is guaranteed 3 songs as time permits.

The singer generally calls the tune which can be in any genre as long as the other players know it. The blues is always a good fall back as everyone should know the 12 bars.

Our guiding principals are: RESPECT THE OTHER PLAYERS NOT TOO LOUD HAVE A GOOD TIME!

Split Bill
with Sweet Clementines, John Burdick, Marianne Tasick, Jason Sarubbi, Paul Carroll, Matt Senzatimore
The FALCON
1348 Route 9W
Marlboro, NY   See Map
The Sweet Clementines have been trying for years to describe their literate, musically complex sound: “Earthy (sm)art pop,” “Quaint, Repressed Victorian Jam Rock.” “Bubblegum and borscht,” said the Chronogram. “Smart fun for smart people,” Said Sirius Disorder. "Songs and instrumentation sparkling with light bending lustre and charm," said WKZE, 98.1 FM.

In eight years of odd rocking (with vibraphones, violins, and baroque vocal harmony), this band has cultured its own way of playing together, its own pin on the style/influence map: start with a sense of Beatles (or Zombies, or XTC), dress it in colors of cabaret and circus, like Tom Waits (or Astor Piazzolla, or Andrew Bird) and—now more than ever—venture into long forms, unafraid of either “J” word –Jazz or Jam. Add some wicked solos and elements of folk, prog, and earthy rock of the kind that older dudes tend to make.

Experience counts, especially in jazz. The more time musicians spend interpreting tunes and interacting with others, the more articulation an audience can expect. You can hear the fruits of such work in the expressive language The Cookers bring to the bandstand and to their three critically acclaimed recordings, Warriors, Cast the First Stone and Believe. This exciting new all-star septet summons up an aggressive mid ‘60s spirit with a potent collection of expansive post-bop originals marked by all the requisite killer instincts and pyrotechnic playing expected of some of the heaviest hitters on the scene today.

Each member of the Cookers has spent time leading his own series of groups as well, and each has a keenly individual sound. But it’s the unmistakable power of teamwork that makes this music so commanding and resonates with a kind of depth and beauty that speaks of the seasoned track record of its principals.

Abbie Gardner is a founding member of nationally acclaimed female Americana trio “Red Molly”. The band decided to take an indefinite hiatus in 2015, so Abbie is striking out on her own!

Richard Cuccaro, Publisher of Acoustic Live, say this about her latest release: “Abbie Gardner shows her prodigious writing chops in her album, Hope. Tales of love and loss, both gritty and sweet, ride the back of her by-now familiar, formidable slide guitar licks. She channels Lucinda and Bonnie, but remains pure Abbie.”

“one of the best artists in Americana music today” – Twangville

In 2008 American Songwriter Magazine honored Abbie Gardner as Grand Prize Lyric Winner for her song “I’d Rather Be”.

This concert will be inside the acoustically exquisite old Phoenicia Railway Station with seating for under 50. Tickets are $15 or $12 w/RSVP to flyingcatmusic@gmail.

Rock n Roll, Country, Dreamer, too name a few. Anthony K has been labeled all of these, but if you needed to sum him up it would be - a very talented musician. Born in MA and raised in Maine, Anthony K began forming bands and performing live while growing up in the New England music scene, until he moved to Upstate New York and called this home for a while. Once established there and creating enough buzz with one of his rock bands, he caught the attention of a label and signed a deal in New York. A CD was released and the group received success through airplay worldwide, constant promotion, and nonstop relentless touring. ANTHONY K ON JUKEBOXES My current 7 song EP "memories" including the 1st single 'Marry Me' is now on jukeboxes! Head out to your local establishment and play & enjoy my music.

Michael Torsone's passionate conviction to jazz, blues and R&B, his versatility and magnetic stage presence were the cornerstones of his success.

Michael Torsone refined the smooth, cool sound of jazz generated by the world-renowned Hammond B3 organ. His powerful voice and his vintage instrument created a natural groove that cannot be replicated by modern, electronic keyboards.

Torsone’s first exposure to the world of music was through his family and the popular music of his youth.
