 Veteran musicians Joe Gil (trombone), Neil Alexander (organ and keyboards) and Jason Furman (drums) have put together a new group called the "Thunderhead Organ Trio". The group is taking the concept of the organ trio in a new and different direction, drawing on many different influences and styles.
The group explores the grittier, rockier side of the genre referencing groups like the original Tony Williams Lifetime and mines the jazz standard repertoire for obscure gems and deep cuts.
The group will be playing original tunes, jazz standards, lost classics and rare gems.

 A high school senior in Rockland County, NY, Isabella Englert, has been studying piano since she was four years old, and began to play the guitar, casually, in eighth grade. She was singing and writing music in her freshman year of high school. When she was accepted into the competitive Grammy Camp program, she realized music was her passion. She attended singing and songwriting workshops at The Berklee School of Music, and has been accepted at both Berklee and the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music to study songwriting. Last fall she recorded her first EP of original songs entitled “Closer to Roses,” now available on iTunes. |

 With his distinct bass tone, Christopher Brown has pleased audiences for more than two decades with his repertoire of musical stories. Chris' special view of the world is portrayed honestly and humorously through his innovative, story-telling lyric, enlivened by a unique blend of folk, country and rock & roll. A reviewer recently wrote, "his sound might best be described as James Taylor meets Johnny Cash."
Chris calls his new album "Characterist". That's because he is not only a singer/songwriter, but an artist/illustrator who can capture a subject's essence through caricature. With a few strokes, he reveals hints of a character's nature or temperament, their mystery or charm. He does the same thing with lyric and melody, outlining and shading characters and moments, even yearnings and states of mind. His deep rumble of a voice can be as direct as an approaching train, yet warm and forgiving.
Chris will be joined by master guitarist and composer Peter Calo.

BOBBY RONDINELLI- DRUMMER- Rrock drummer best known for his work with the hard rock/heavy metal bands like Blue Öyster Cult, Rainbow, Quiet Riot, Black Sabbath, The Lizards, Leslie West and Rondinelli. In July 2013, Rondinelli was announced as the new drummer for the Axel Rudi Pell band, replacing former drummer Mike Terrana. Rondinelli will play drums on the new ARP album which will be released in January 2014 and join them on the tour that will follow in February/March 2014

 The Wiyos will appear at Unison Arts Center on Saturday, April 18th for two shows: a kid friendly matinee at 2pm and a more adult themed show at 8pm.
The Wiyos were one of the original 'old timey' bands to emerge on the national scene in the first wave of acoustic bands riding the renewed popularity of early swing, jazz, rural folk, old time Blues and Appalachian music. In 2009 they opened for Bob Dylan on his summer tour. They have been featured in BBC television documentaries about folk music and have appeared at Carnegie Hall.

Geoff Hartwell has performed with legends such as Gregg Allman, Sonny Landreth, Tab Benoit and John Hammond and touring/recording with Andy Aledort and Yonrico Scott (of the Derek Trucks Band), Singer/Songwriter extraordinaire Richard Shindell as well as Alan Evans of Soulive. Slide guitar legend Sonny Landreth also performed on Geoff's CD, "Hate to See You Go".
The band includes Geoff Hartwell on lead/slide guitar, Michael Bram (Jason Mraz) on drums, Brendan O'Grady on bass and Chris Burke on keys.

 Choirgirl is a trio of vocalists who will perform a variety of Cabaret music celebrating "Food Glorious Food". The event will help support those less fortunate in the Hudson Valley, with proceeds going to The Food Bank of the Hudson Valley. The Food Bank supplies food to such nonprofit organizations as food pantries, senior centers, shelters, after-school programs, soup kitchens, low-income day care centers, and others.
Choirgirl Music is a Christian-based, philanthropic organization aimed at raising funds in support of humanitarian aid organizations.
Choirgirl Music will be collecting food donations and SELLING TICKETS @ $20 per person, at the door or via their website below. Receive $1 off for every non-perishable food item donated. Sponsorship Opportunities are available for this event as well.
There is a $15 minimum per person in food or drink purchases for table reservations.

Houston favorite, Matt Harlan is a troubadour of the first degree, bringing his handcrafted songs to stages across his home state of Texas, the USA and Europe.
Harlan is a winner of multiple songwriting accolades, from outfits like American Songwriter, the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and Billboard. He was named Singer-Songwriter of the Year in the 2013 Texas Music Awards and was featured alongside a stellar cast of characters (Lyle Lovett, Guy Clark) in the documentary, “For the Sake of the Song.”
His first two studio albums were well received by national and international radio, both earning the #1 spot on the Euro Americana Chart. “Raven Hotel” his third – and possibly best – record also hit the top spot on the Euro charts after its release in 2014. As with each collection, the newest one features a musical roux that showcases Harlan’s literary grit with a variety of moods to fit the many themes on the record. |

Catbird is the musical duo Keith Newman (12-string guitar) and Lynn Reno (electric violin & fiddle). They cover a wide array of classic rock artists, from Crosby Stills and Nash to Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead, from Beatles to Pink Floyd.
Julie is a NYC / Hudson Valley singer/songwriter. Julie's latest CD is called "Songs in a Bottle", and includes a collection of songs that "illuminates my real love of '70's folk-rock artists" including The Beatles, Rod Stewart and Janice Joplin and, of course, Dylan. 
Keith Newman performs acoustic songs by the Beatles, Cat Stevens, Bob Dylan, Grateful Dead, Paul Simon, The Eagles, CSN&Y, Pink Floyd and more. 
New York Blues Hall of Fame artist, Marc Black and the EarthTones will play a benefit concert. In commemoration of Earth Day, their song choices will reflect an appreciation for the beauty and wonders of Mother Earth… and our responsibilities as stewards.
