"Guitarist & fiddler David Bromberg is a legend in roots music circles, a genuine guitar virtuoso & session ace whose quirky mystique has been burnished by periodic withdrawals from the public eye... " - Rick Anderson / Allmusic

A successful solo spot at the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival in Great Britain led Bromberg to a solo deal with Columbia Records, & his 1971 album, including the mock-anguished “Suffer to Sing the Blues". The album also included "The Holdup,” - a collaboration with George Harrison, who played slide guitar on the track. David also met the Grateful Dead & wound up with four of their members, including Jerry Garcia, playing on his next two albums.

The release of "Try Me One More Time", in 2007,David was playing shows with his Angel Band, the David Bromberg Quartet, & the David Bromberg Big Band. His album "Use Me", features friends like John Hiatt, the late Levon Helm, Los Lobos, Tim O’Brien, Vince Gill, Widespread Panic, Dr. John, Keb’ Mo’ & others.

Peekskill, NY   See Map
Ever dreamed of being in a lead singer in a band? Do you love singing into the mirror with your hairbrush as a mic? Than LBK is for you!!

12 Grapes' Live Band Karaoke is like traditional karaoke -- people choose a song from a list and sing when it's their turn-- but instead of a pre-recorded background track, the participants sing with a LIVE backing band, and even back-up singers. LBK is way more fun than singing to a pre-recorded track.

We have over 150 songs on our list, including '70s, '80s, '90s and contemporary pop/rock/soul. The list will be posted on the 12 Grapes Facebook page each month, so check it out.

Hosted by JP Patrick, with Tito Wilson on drums, Chris Burke on keys, Artie Walker on bass and Hank DeCora on guitar.

If you have any questions about our LBK, feel free to call: 914-737-6624.

PS21 and Concerts in the Village (CITV) are collaborating for the first time to present an ambitious program of music by 17th century English composer Henry Purcell. The evening’s highlight is a semi-staged concert performance of Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, a masterpiece of the Baroque age and first significant opera in English. CITV’s Artistic Director David Smith directs the Broad Street Choral and soloists Amanda Boyd (Dido), Jon Morrell (Aeneas), Kameryn Luen (Belinda), Vicki Smith (The Second Woman) and Katie Roppolo (The Sorceress) and a chamber orchestra, drawing upon some of the finest instrumentalists in eastern New York. In addition to Dido and Aeneas, the program includes selections from Purcell’s incidental music for Shakespeare’s The Tempest and Midsummer Night’s Dream. A reception for the audience and artists will follow the performance.

Peekskill, NY   See Map
In 1969, Santana burst on the music scene with a searing performance at Woodstock. The innovative combination of electric blues-rock guitar and Afro-Cuban rhythms filled their music with heart, soul and a burning sensuality that’s never been duplicated to this day.

Inspired by the incredible intensity of this music, Taboo shares a passion for re-creating the electrifying sound of Santana's greatest hits. And audiences, without exception, have been wowed by the authenticity of the magic Santana sound that Taboo delivers.

It's all there: the propulsive Latin percussion, the fiery lead guitar work, the "groove" that connects to the soul of the audience. Their set list is full of old favorites, as well as the recent hits from "Supernatural" and beyond.

**$10 Entertainment Fee or $5 with dinner entree**

Entertainment Fee goes directly to the band. Thank you for supporting live music.
