What does this Work-in-Progress mean? It means the show is alive. It will change frequently as Cash respond to the space, the music and the experience on a weekly basis.

Sydney Cash's studios are nearby in Marlboro. With a key to the club, his work-in-progress may happen at any time, day or night. Soñando
Latin
The FALCON
1348 Route 9W
Marlboro, NY   See Map
The hot, wild and joyful sounds of Soñando have earned them the reputation as the Hudson Valley's premier Latin band. Their spicy blend of music and musicians have performed in clubs, at private funtions, community festivals, benefit concerts, on radio and television, as well as the Puerto Rico Day Parade in NYC, but the band is at home wherever a dance floor can be cleared. Fueled by a fiery rhythm section and high-octane horns, Soñando plays a wide variety of Latin styles from Plena and Son to Salsa and Merengue!

"The name of the band is Spanish for "dreaming" but when the hordes come out for Soñando, they don't sleepwalk - they dance. And we're not talking a few perfunctory head-bobs or butt-wiggles, they dance until they go up in flames, like Tula's unquenchable bedroom in the Cuban lyrics..." - Woodstock Times

Jessi says her influences span from Joni Mitchell to Laura Marling, and back around again to her supportive family and friends. Jessi is currently working on her debut EP of original songs.

Rob McMahon "sings songs to nourish the heart and soul as they make the epic journey." Rob has performed at many 12 Grapes Open Mic Nights, and has been seen at National Underground and clubs from New York to Maine.

Moors & McCumber are a songwriting duo and multi-instrumentalists. After having met around the campfires of the Rocky Mountain Folks Fest in 2005, James Moors and Kort McCumber (based in Superior, WI and Gold Hill, CO respectfully) began experimenting with co-writing and performing together. Fast forward to 2014 and the duo is recording their fourth studio CD with acclaimed producer Gary Louris of the Jayhawks. They spend countless days and hours on the road touring across the U.S and Europe and their strong bond is obvious to any observer. Reaching for new instruments throughout each and every show they conjure powerful melodies and harmony vocals that have drawn them in comparison to the Everly Brothers, Simon and Garfunkel and Seals and Croft. Expect to hear some guitar, piano, mandolin, fiddle, Irish bouzouki, tenor banjo, harmonica, ukulele, and possibly a cello!

Dar Chi, the groups bass player says that "Reggae is the indigenous music. When you come here you don't want to leave your vernacular or colloquial sayings at home; that's prevalent in the music. A lot of our songs are social and reflect what's happening in the community. Some of us are Rastafarians, so there are some radical political connotations."

The FALCON

Marlboro, NY   See Map
Sculptor Sydney Cash mounts a three month ”work-in-progress” exhibition at The Falcon in Marlboro NY, beginning February 2014.

The show will feature Cash’s new dimensional paintings and portraits in space-modulating installations. Some pieces will span the entire width of the club. Some will include the tables, integrating elements of his light sculpture to the surprise and delight of the Falcon audience!

This is a very special opportunity for the artist, whose experimental ideas will be manipulated in continuing improvisation, complimenting the music being performed, and engaging an audience that wants to be thrilled with “all that jazz”.

...Tony Falco, owner of the Falcon: “We went to the same elementary school. In fact, I was David’s paperboy in 1969..."!

David Johansen began his career as the singer of the protopunk band the New York Dolls in the early '70s. Two solo albums, 'David Johansen' and 'In Style' delivered some standout tracks. "Frenchette" and "Funky But Chic." Later, Johansen's pseudonym and alter ego, Buster Poindexter, appeared with Saturday Night Live's House Band, scoring the hit song "Hot Hot Hot".

Johansen turned his attention to country blues with the release of 'David Johansen and the Harry Smiths.' David continues to host David Johansen's Mansion of Fun, a weekly radio show on Sirius and he has returned to touring as Buster Poindexter!

Multi-instrumentalist, Brian Koonin, who has been with David through projects including the NewYork Dolls and The Harry Smiths will accompany David on guitar and drums.

Opening Act!
with Jim Keller, Scott Metzger
The FALCON
1348 Route 9W
Marlboro, NY   See Map
As the man behind one of the most enduring and entertaining artifacts of the 80's, Jim Keller could easily have fallen into the formula for a "rock star" narrative - quick rise, overexposure, regrets, and all - thanks to "867-5309/Jenny", Keller's smash hit anthem with the San Francisco band Tommy Tutone, of which he was a co-founder. But rather than giving in to the rock and roll fate, Jim Keller forged his own path and, essentially, grew up.

After over a decade away from the performance side of the music business, Keller embarked on his first solo project as a musician in 2010. With its honest, easy-going tone, the catchy collective, Sunshine In My Pocket, evidenced his move forward as an artist. Keller's latest project, Soul Candy, recorded with members of his current live band and assorted friends, stands as a tribute to the ever-evolving story of a performing musician; documenting the alluring energy of Keller's live shows.
