This is a very special show in memory of a very special person, one Wendell Hoff, who passed away earlier this year. Wendell was very kind and supportive to me, incredibly generous, and very honest and direct. I will always be grateful for his support and friendship. (He's the reason there is a Lullabies for Big Babies CD, since the record was made entirely at his request.)He had mentioned to me the last time I saw him that he had wanted to host a concert, perhaps a house concert or something like that, and he hoped I'd be willing to perform at it along with some other folks he had in mind. But, of course I would! Now, his son Jesse would like to move forward with Wendell's vision, and I am delighted and honored to be able to participate in this. It is a free event. | ||

Sonia Ryzy-Ryski's lush soprano flows from jazz to Spanish ballads, and her ironic songwriting brings humor.
