KEVIN KANE Band, also MATT RAE Trio
Rock (classic)
Towne Crier Cafe
130 Route 22
Pawling, NY   See Map
Dubbed Westchester's best songwriter/original band, and riding a growing wave of enthusiasm for the new single and video Get America Working, the Kevin Kane Band looks poised to start flying way above the radar. Critics are particularly complimentary of the band's full range of song styles --catchy riff rock, lyrical melody lines, new country and blues, up tempo pop and a three part harmony folk-- feel reminiscent of the original Newport Folk festival. That one band is so comfortable across such a wide and diverse musical spectrum makes them even more appealing live. Kevin's band will include special guest Clifford Carter. :|: Driven by the critically acclaimed telecaster styling of Matt Rae ~a Guitar Player Magazine "Guitar Hero" top 10 finalist~ The Matt Rae Trio performs an infectiously countrified, surf-a-billy, blues-funk-pop-jazz set of original instrumental numbers.

It’s easy to be wary when a musician is described with a long string of superlatives. But one listen to jazz and blues singer-songwriter Barbara Martin and you will believe what the critics say about her. Witty. Intelligent. Sultry. Down-to-earth. Insightful. Ironic. Polished. Slice-of-life. Sensitive. Provocative. The list goes on. Barbara Martin is the real deal; a true renaissance woman in genres prone to stereotypes and pigeon-holes. Barbara’s soulful voice and skillful songwriting reveal the essence of her life experience, her creativity and her joie de vivre. And in that very honest and open place, Barbara Martin doesn’t just entertain us; she helps us remember how to dream.
