Frontman Peter Head calls their music, “A mish-mash of rock, blues, country, and punk that we call apocabilly. It’s fun, it’s fast, it’s loud!”. Perry just calls it psychobilly, and says if you didn’t know they were the best band in the Hudson Valley, you will after tonight! More info and music players on Pitchfork’s Facebook, Reverb Nation, and My Space pages. If you like your music fun, fast and loud, this show’s for you! LEGENDARY HARMONICA PLAYER SUGAR-BLUE , ALEXIS P.SUTER - SHE PERFORMS AT LEVON'S RAMBLE
Blues
Brian's Backyard BBQ
1665 RTE 211 EAST
Middletown, NY   See Map
Sugar Blue incorporates what he has learned into his visionary and singular style, technically dazzling yet wholly soulful. He bends, shakes, spills flurries of notes with simultaneous precision and abandon, combining dazzling technique with smoldering expressiveness and gives off enough energy to light up several city square blocks... And sings too! His distinctive throat tends to be overlooked in the face of his instrumental virtuosity - he's got a rich, sensual voice with a whisper of huskiness which by itself would be something out of the ordinary. But oh, there's that harmonica again... !! SUGAR BLUE PERFORMED WITH THE ROLLING STONES. Blue hooked up with members of the Rolling Stones , who instantly fell in love with his sound. The Stones invited Blue to join them in the studio. Besides his work on the Some Girls album, he can be heard on Emotional Rescue and Tattoo You . Arlene McCann
Acoustic, Singer-Songwriter
Taste Budd's Chocolate and Coffee Cafe
40 West Market Street
Red Hook, NY   See Map
Arlene McCann is a Philadelphia based singer/songwriter who’s lyrics bleed through each strum of her guitar. In 2003 she got her feet wet with the release of her debut album asidefromyou. Since then, the lyrics and tunes have been writing themselves through her emotional wit, and catchy, but edgy melodies. She was voted Forte’s (young professionals of the Kimmel Center, Philadelphia) ‘Chosen’ local musician, and played a special set for the honor of the award in March of 2010.

Arlene tries to make the audience feel at home with her jokes and stories in between songs, as well as the ability of the audience to relate to her writhingly emotional lyricism. With her sweet voice and her rough chords she will draw you in to her world of poetry, love, pain, and you will not be sorry you came.

Tin Pan Band
Jazz
BeanRunner Cafe
201 S. Division Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Tin Pan connotes a world of jazz, blues and American popular song. The band has created a rabid following by playing music that resonates powerfully because its intention is pure - to make people dance, smile and conjure with the spirit of music itself. On their new album, Hound's Tooth, the band has perfected their sonic vision - effortless, wondrous and festive, feeling much like, as the band describes themselves, Ray Charles and Tom Waits at a Bourbon Street Parade. With Jesse Selengut on trumpet, lead vocals and compositions, Clifton Hyde on guitar and hollerin', Stefan Zeniuk on reeds and boy soprano vocals, and Peter "Baby Hands" Maness on bass and some singin', Tin Pan evokes everything from Fats Waller and Louis Armstrong to Irving Berlin and Hoagy Carmichael. The Tin Pan Band was founded in 2006 by Selengut, a long time New York based musician, and the curator of the Williamsburg Jazz Festival.

Sean Chambers doesn't merely play the guitar as much as he boldly attacks the instrument with a fluid ferocity and attitude that has gained the attention of the major guitar magazines worldwide. Chambers in fact, is a first class axe man in his own right. Combining reverence for tradition with his own special jolt of electricity, he has crafted a style that is truly his own.

Admission: $6 Seattle's celebrated band of teacher-rockers - Recess Monkey - will bring their special brand of "undeniably hip, yet also kid-accessible" music and humor to their Rosendale debut!

Kids and their parental units will zoom around the room with Drew, Daron, and Jack on "Flying," join the Monkey Bar conga line (located everywhere), take a soapy ride at the Bubble Factory, and give that loose tooth an extra jiggle with Dr. Wiggle.

"These kids' songs are...awesome!...There are bands you can't go wrong with, and this is one of them." - USA Today

"Recess Monkey: If Seattle is the new bastion of kindie rockers, then the trio of elementary school teachers - are the city's breakout stars." - Time magazine
