![]() Thursday 8:30 pm to 11:30 pm | Fresh Songwriting, Moving Acoustics with Daphne Willis Singer-Songwriter | 12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar 12 North Division Street Peekskill, NY See Map |
It's been a year since Daphne graced our stage, but we still remember the impact she had, on us and on our audience. She's all of 23 years old now, and just released her latest CD, "Because I Can", to critical acclaim. The title answers the question: "Why does she move from a saucy soul/funk gumbo to punchy pop/rock to VH1-ready piano balladry, all before the album's halfway mark?" Because she can. They're calling this CD "the defining work of a young artist who matters." Daphne now lives in Nashville, more committed to her music than ever. Early in her career, Willis was being compared to a young Rickie Lee Jones and a female Jack Johnson. We think other artists will soon be compared to Daphne Willis! We're honored that 12 Grapes is a stop on Daphne's national tour. If you love original music, great musicianship and outstanding vocals, do not miss this performance. **$5 Entertainment Fee or Free with dinner entree** Listen on youtube

You can label the High Irons as alt-country, or country tinged rock, or at-rock, or folk rock. But no one moniker truly fits, and this is the strength of The High Irons. The respect of their musical heroes never becomes parody. The High Irons walk along the shadows of their influences -- Tom Petty, The Replacements, R.E.M, Son Volt, Everly Brothers -- but always try to step out into their own light. "The High Irons romp in melodies and steady rhythms which carve out the traditional country style that is stamped all over this record."-AMERICANA UKMore info at the Towne Crier Cafe

The Reddan Brothers are a hard hitting blues/rock trio with the miles to back it. The Reddan Brothers grew up backing legends of blues and rock such as Bill Perry, Popa Chubby and Jimmy Vivino. With their newly released CD “Skeleton Key Sessions” those road miles seem to be put to good use. The group has been seen on such high profile gigs as Levon Helm’s Midnight Ramble, Winchester Blues House Festival and the Blues on the Bridge Festival. The youthful energy of the band mixed with seasoned playing makes them a must see trio.Directions

He's been billed in New York City as "New York's Youngest Working Bandleader." Myles recently opened for Blues guitar great Buddy Guy. Myles has opened for the legendary drummer of The Band, Levon Helm, as well as Allman Brothers and number of guest appearances with Slam Allen. Syd Bernstein, the promoter who brought the Beatles to America, said of Myles, "I love this kid... I think he is going to be a big star! He's a bona fide prodigy that will captivate and thrill an audience." He consistently performs on some of New York's top stages, including BB King's, The Cutting Room and even Madison Square Garden.
