| My primary instrument is my voice, and my guitar embellishes, accompanies, and decorates it. My sound and style are my own. Exposure to music and vocal styles of all types, ranging from standards to jazz to folk/traditional to blues, and to the music of Great Britain, the Appalachian Mountains of Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, and North Carolina, have influenced my sound and led me to describe my music as "eclectic acoustic." I have opened for Christine Lavin and Dave Cousins and performed in Showcases and the Open Mic Finals at the Towne Crier Cafe in Pawling, NY, and appeared in venues in the Hudson Valley and Southwestern CT. I perform a good mix of songs, including my own compositions, covers, and traditional music. I like to tell the stories of the traditional songs I sing and might focus on the song's provenance, themes, imagery, history, depiction of characters, etc. Listeners tell me that they enjoy learning about this traditional music. |

 The dynamic female trio that began as a happy accident around a campsite (at the 2004 Falcon Ridge Folk Festival) is now drawing invitations from renowned historic national events like Merlefest, and is winning over audiences around the country. Spurred onward by an ever-growing and devoted fanbase, and the desire to commit themselves to touring farther from home, Red Molly is at the start of a new and exciting musical chapter. In 2010, founding members Laurie MacAllister (bass, banjo) and Abbie Gardner (Dobro, guitar) welcomed Austin-based singer/songwriter Molly Venter, to fill out their lush, distinctive three-part harmonies. “We are busily reinventing fan favorites from our current recordings, while adding new material and collaborating on songwriting for the first time,” says Gardner. “This is an exciting time for the band; we’re so thrilled that Molly has joined us,” adds MacAllister. Opening the night is Carsie Blanton, whom MacAllister calls “TOTALLY AMAZING!"

 Frank Lacy takes everything from Ragtime and Swing to Afro Beat and Hip-Hop to create his own style of jazz. He has toured with greats like Dizzy Gillespie, Abdullah Ibrahim, Henry Threadgill, Julius Hemphill, Oliver Lake, The Eurythmics, Carla Bley and Don Pullen and currently tours with Lester Bowie's Brass Fantasy and the big bands of McCoy Tyner and David Murray.
Johnathan Blake has worked with the Oliver Lake Big Band, Roy Hargrove, and David Sanchez and is currently a member of Tom Harrell Quintet, Russell Malone Quartet, and Kenny Barron Trio. He also performs with Donny McCaslin, Jaleel Shaw, Avishai Cohen, and Omer Avital among others.
Kevin Ray has performed or recorded with John Stubblefield, Oliver Lake, Greg Osby, Andrew Hill, Pheeroan Aklaff, Marty Ehrlich, Curtis Fowlkes, Elliott Sharp, Ray Anderson, The Kitchen Houseblend Band, The Flux Quartet, and others. He has premiered major works by a wide range of composers, incl Lee Hyla, Joe McPhee and Leroy Jenkins.

Jay Clayton is an internationally acclaimed vocalist, composer, and educator, whose work boldly spans the terrain between jazz and new music. Her work in these two worlds led to the development of a highly personal, wordless vocabulary, which she later enhanced through her innovative use of electronics. Bassist/composer Jay Anderson is among the most versatile and respected jazz artists performing today. He has performed/recorded with a wide variety of jazz artists. He has conducted clinics around the world and is a Professor of Jazz Bass Studies at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City.

 The Fallsburg Class of 2017 is hosting an evening showcasing the culinary talents of local Men Who Cook.
Teachers, local business owners, town officials and parents will all prepare their favorite dish for guests to sample. More than 30 chefs have committed to cooking for this event.
The evening will also include a silent and a live auction of goods and services from local businesses. Admission tickets to a water park, restaurant gift certificates, and many other items will be up for auction and can be purchased for a fraction of the retail value.
The evening will end with a live performance from Corner Shot, a local band. All of the members of the band are alumni of the Fallsburg School District.

Hope Machine-the band-was born at a 2003 Woody Guthrie hootenanny hosted by Woody's granddaughter Anna Canoni. It's core members are Fred Gillen Jr., Steve Kirkman, and Eric Puente. They rarely do a show without a special guest or two sitting in and their performances are true celebrations of community, spontaneity, and freedom.
Their debut CD March, released in the Winter of 2006/2007, was recorded live-in-the-studio and received folk airplay all over the East Coast. The follow-up CD, Big Green Hope Machine, features some of Gillen and Kirkman's finest songs and great special guests. The CD has gotten great reviews and airplay all over the world.
Hope Machine is always evolving, but the message remains one of hope, peace, and freedom. While they sing many of their own songs, they also remain an "official program" of the Woody Guthrie Foundation, and carry Woody's message wherever they go.

 Grammy-nominated guitarist Gil Parris is one of the most acclaimed & versatile guitar masters of his generation. His style of playing defies and transcends all genres. Gil frequently performs with Yankees outfielder (and guitarist) Bernie Williams and has shared the stage with Paul Shaffer and trumpet legend Randy Brecker. In 2010, Vintage Guitar said, "Gil Parris is one of guitardom's unsung heroes."
Gil's band features equally incredible musicians including Kip Saphos (bass), Joe Piteo (drums) and Curtis Winchester (vocals). Tonight's special guest is Matt King (keys). Matt tours nationally and internationally with distinguished jazz guitarist Chuck Loeb. He's also toured with Blood, Sweat & Tears and recorded and performed with many notable artists including pop vocalist Phoebe Snow. Kath Buckell, Australian-born singer/songwriter is one of the most refreshing voices in the folk music scene today. Buckell is a storyteller, a balladeer, who has traveled the world and made a career for herself in Australia, Israel and the USA sharing with her audiences a narrative of Australian poetry and culture. With the encouragement of Aoife Clancy, daughter of Bobby Clancy from the acclaimed Clancy Brothers, Kath moved to the US to pursue a career in the folk scene. She now performs with a project called The Jammin' Divas with Aoife Clancy, Becky Chace and Hadar Noiberg exploring the richness of folk music through fusing three different cultures from Ireland, USA and Australia.
