Sarah Blacker played to a sold out crowd at the BRC in January. David Goldman did the same late last year. They are now returning by popular demand. Boston's 92.5 has coined jazzy/folk-rock singer/songwriter, Sarah Blacker, as "the perfect blend of Ella Fitzgerald and Joni Mitchell."She was named the Number 1 Artist of 2009 by Max Bowen, writer for the Noise and Number 2 Independent Artist for WMVY Radio, Martha's Vineyard, MA. A witty and soulful performer, with an incredibly unique voice, Candy O'Terry of Magic 106.7, Boston loves "the fact that she’s an artist with a social conscience."

Rooted in American folk and blues, David Goldman performances are spiced with folk, pop/jazz or '60s chestnut, along with a magical song or two from Portugal, South America or India. His new CD "Light In The Tunnel" is David's journey across the darker landscape of the world today with a finely woven tapestry of voices and music with Celtic, Blues and Gospel influences.

Kirtan!
with Kirtan with Damodar Das
World
Ossining Kirtan at St. Paul's parish hall
40 Ganung Drive
Ossining, NY   See Map
Kirtan is the practice of devotional singing to the Divine through the use of Sanskrit mantras. A form of ‘bhakti’ yoga (the yoga of devotion), this powerful, transformational spiritual practice is considered an easy path to liberation. Kirtan opens the heart, purifies the entire being and the surrounding atmosphere and stills the mind.

If you have never been to one, rest assured it is a solemn, holy experience that is also a ton of fun! If you like to sing, clap, bang on a percussion instrument, or are simply open to new ways to pay homage to your highest Self, your Being, the Divine Presence, God, Vishnu, or whatever signpost to the Ineffable you like to use, then we encourage you to come and give it a try.

Held every 3rd Thursday of the month!
