 Todd Isler's new trio with David Phelps and Eric Udel is a testament to world music and jazz at its finest.
Drummer, teacher and author Todd Isler is based in New York City, where he has been active in the jazz and world music scenes for over 20 years. He has released two original CDs, "Two Step: Duets and Beyond", and his current "Soul Drums", as well as his book "You Can Takadimi This", published by Gerard and Sarzin in 2005.
Todd has toured Africa under the Goethe Institute, studied in India, and is a winner of JAZZIZ Percussion On Fire contest. He has appeared on hundreds of recordings, and has composed and performed with several modern dance companies around the U.S. In 2008 he toured Japan with Francis Mbappe and also joined Mike Gordon¹s band (of Phish fame). Todd plays in the New York area with his two bands, "Toddsquad" and "Secret Stevie". He also is the percussionist for Premik Russell Tubbs & Friends.

 Close your eyes and hear sharp and elegantly electrifying gut guitar sounds. Open your eyes and behold keyboardist Neil Alexander and his amazing ensemble NAIL focusing their considerable skills to honor guitar legend Jeff Beck. Jeff’s style has always held fascination for the Hudson Valley based keyboardist well known for his ability to emulate the electric guitar. “His range of sounds – with just a guitar & amp – staggers the imagination,” says Neil. Armed with skills established in his 10 years of experience in Pink Floyd tribute band The Machine and his current status as a member of the John McLaughlin tribute band Mahavishnu Project, Neil is confident they can pull off a “guitarless” tribute – to a guitarist. A “tribute show” is new for NAIL whose shows are traditionally original music spiced with a few pieces by other artists. The evening will include songs from classic discs Blow by Blow, Wired, and Guitar Shop, as well as “stylistically appropriate” tunes and NAIL originals.

from Lagond Music School, they will be joined by fellow musicians from Lagond for an evening of musical exploration and creativity. These singer-songwriter/musicians have received National Merit Awards as well as scholarship money from some of the most prestigious music conservatories in the United States.
Lagond Music School is a charitable organization dedicated to music education and live music performance. LMS takes a professional approach in teaching not only the technical and theoretical knowledge of music, but the application of it in the professional world. Rosanne Lana, says "Repetition of performance is something we stress for our students–the ultimate apprenticeship for a musician.  Bruce Katz is a regular performer with the Gregg Allman Band and the John Hammond Quartet, and for the past 20 years has been an in-demand sideman with many other artists, playing and recording with many of the leading names in blues and roots music like John Hammond, Ronnie Earl and many others. Bruce was a 2008 and 2009 Nominee for the Blues Music Award for "Pinetop Perkins Piano Player of the Year" and has been nominated for a third time in 2010. Bruce's most recent CD, "Live! At the Firefly", has been received with critical acclaim. The new CD rose to #11 on the National Living Blues Radio Chart, and received substantial play on XM/Sirius Satellite Radio.

The Bereznak Brothers Band is a dynamic, genre-bridging group fronted by twin brother singer-songwriter-guitarists Michael & David Bereznak, who have literally been living for music since they were six years old. Seamlessly fusing together elements of '80s & '90s rock, heartland rock and current pop/rock, they flawlessly use their signature brand of vocal harmonies, tasteful guitar, and pop song writing sensibility to create a musical tour de force with timeless songs that gracefully touch upon the issues of growing up in a small town, family strength, friendship, love, and loneliness.
Bill Kelly (pictured here) -- aka "Mr. Americana" -- is songwriter and all-around great guy. On his CD, "Bread on the Waters", Bill "takes a long hard pull on the bottle of life, with weather-beaten songs of messed-up love, longing, and redemption." One of our favorites is "Seraphima", a tune that's been applauded by critics. Another of his songs, "She's Single Again", was featured in NBC's TV show, Ed.

Chicago-based Daphne Willis is a "marvelously expressive artist with a bracingly seductive sound." It seems that being discovered has been Daphne's fate. She had planned to release her second album herself, but a record company exec heard her music on the in-flight station and tracked her down. Recently-released by Vanguard records, her new CD, "What to Say", is an Acoustic-Rock blend reminiscent of Nora Jones and Natalie Imbruglia. Willis has even been compared to a young Rickie Lee Jones and a female Jack Johnson. A review in the Herald Tribune noted, "The melodies, the horn-punctuated arrangements and the playful but intelligent lyrics reel you in."
