 Kairos: A Consort of Singers, under the direction of Dr. Edward Lundergan, continues its 15th anniversary celebration with a concert entitled “More of Our Favorite Things: French Edition”. The concert will feature a program of mostly French a cappella works by Perotin (Viderunt omnes), Palestrina (motets), Josquin (Missa Ave Maris Stella), Claude Debussy (Trois chansons), Francis Poulenc (Sept chansons), and a fun and spirited collection of French Renaissance chansons. As an added treat, a set of German part-songs by Brahms, Mendelssohn and Franz rounds out the program. Come join Kairos for a delightful afternoon of beautiful choral music!
A reception will follow the concert will feature desserts by Something Sweet Dessert Cafe in Middletown.
Admission is $12 for the general public, $10 for students and seniors.

We're returning to the Keltic House, and it's gonna be a trial-by-fire event. Each Tuesday they feature three new bands, with that evening's "winner" advancing to the next round of the contest. So Come Out, all ye Faithful Rhodies, Joyful and Triumphant, and Cheer Us On ! [You know we always show you a good time].
The Randy Adams Band featuring Pat Baker will host the weekly jam at the Water Wheel Cafe. One of the area's best blues bands will play first set then open up to jammers. We supply Drums, Amps, bass amp and PA. Bring your ax, sticks, horn, or vocals. All welcome and all will play! We do stick to the 1-4-5 format, and please limit pedals.
The Matt Rae Trio is back... a guitar-driven band whose music can best be described as "Country Soul Music". With their infectious blend of instrumental, pop-guitar standards as well as exploratory original pieces, the Matt Rae Trio has been receiving rave reviews from several guitar magazines including 20th Century Guitar and Pipeline. Matt Rae (aka "Master of the Telecaster") has shared the stage with Sonny Landreth, Forrest Lee, Jr. and Redd Volkaert and plays back-up guitar with Arlen Roth and his band. Matt was a finalist in Guitar Player Magazine's Guitar Hero '05 competition, held at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
