Chicken & Ribs & Big Joe Fitz! On Saturday, June 13th, St. John’s Episcopal Church, 207 Albany Ave., will be holding its 33rd annual Summer Fair, Chicken and Rib BBQ, and Silent Auction. Admission is free. The Fair will be from 9AM to 6:30PM with many activities for young and old alike. There will be a bounce tent for the kids, a dunking booth, and baked goods just to name a few. There will be live music featuring Big Joe Fitz & Friends 2 - 5:30 Rich Hines & the Hillbilly Drifters 12:30 - 1:30 Brooks’ BBQ of Oneonta will be serving Chicken or Rib BBQ dinners from 3PM until 6:30PM with takeouts available. A silent auction that will raise funds for Angel Food East will be held from Noon to 5PM in St. John’s. Parish Hall. Angel Food East, which delivers hot meals to Ulster County men, women and children living with AIDS, will receive 10 percent of the proceeds. The Crossroads Band currently has two critically acclaimed CD’s — their newest “Heading South” and their debut release “Crossroads.” The July 2008 release of "Heading South" received recognition both for the song "Crazy For Loving You" and "Heartbroke and Busted", garnering the band a score of nine out of ten from the Nashville Songwriters Association. The song “Free Man” on their first, self-titled release, "Crossroads" received great reviews, radio airplay, and the band won "The West Coast Songwriters Competition" for best blues song.
