The Hudson Valley is happy to welcome this Virginia based Singer Songwriter, with his poignant and very humerous repertoire of songs. The public is invited to his concert following his workshop, noted above. Greg Trafidlo has performed on over 50 albums, including twelve of his own with folk trio, Trifolkal. He has penned numerous songs and won many song writing competitions. Greg has shared the stage with Emmylou Harris, Kathy Mattea, Bill Monroe, Peter Yarrow, John Prine, and many others. Numerous performers including Pete Seeger, Denise Jordan Finley, and Steve Gillette and Cindy Mangsen, have performed his songs. He recently performed at the historic, Ryman Auditorium during Fan Fair in Nashville. Greg has two Wammy nominations, for best Folk Male Vocalist and Best Folk Album. We are assisting the Montgomery Youth Movement Council with a fundraiser with hopes of raising some money for this much needed and worthwhile organization. The Montgomery Youth Movement Council is an organziation comprised of government officials, citizens and youth within the Town of Montgomery, Village of Walden, Village of Maybrook and the Village of Montgomery. Their primary focus is providing assistance and support for those at risk youth within the community. Admission is $5.00 There will be a 50/50 raffle, a merchandise raffle, T-shirt sales plus more! Ann Gulian (pictured here) is a talented keyboard player, singer and songwriter whose song list includes some very moving originals. Ann has a professional repertoire and knows how to keep her audience entertained and engaged with her lyrical voice. Manny Cortez is a veteran 12 Grapes Singer/Songwriter, and a talented guitarist. His vocals are reminiscent of Cat Stevens and his sets are always enjoyable. Manny's just cut his own CD and will be treating us to a few of his originals tonight, as well as some favorite covers. Sheri Miller lives in NYC and performs at many popular NY clubs. Sheri's voice and guitar work is described as "hypnotic bluesy American soul meets classic British melodic-pop." Frank is one of the most accomplished, multi-dimensional players walking the planet today. Monster player, composer and improviser, Frank plays proficiently in every genre, from jazz to bluegrass, and works with everyone and their brother. Frank's pedigree is a mile long, but a quick Google will illustrate why he is considered one of the best on the planet. Whether he is featured on a Donald Fagen recording, a jam with David Grisman, as Les Paul's right hand man or leading his own groups throughout the years, he has proved himself to be in the elite creating his own unique sound. As a young adult, Vignola studied at the Cultural Arts Center of Long Island and went on to enjoy an enormous amount of sideman gigs in the 1980s including recording and touring with the likes of Madonna, Leon Redbone, Ringo Starr as well as coming into his own as a leader in 1988 with his famed Hot Club of France tribute which was hailed in the NY Times as one of the top ten acts in 1988 and forged the way for the many Django Hot Club groups that followed. Frank has written 18 guitar instruction books for Mel Bay Publications and has recorded several CDROM educational products for Truefire.com.
