renowned Irish world-music singer/songwriter, Susan McKeown, with Lorin Sklamberg, lead singer of the Grammie-winning Klezmatics, the groundbreaking klezmer superstars who erupted from New York’s East Village in 1986 and revitalized klezmer for the new century -- present songs from their new collaborative album, Saints & Tzadiks: songs from the Yiddish & Irish.

Following on their GRAMMY-winning work on The Klezmatics' album 'Wonder Wheel: Lyrics by Woody Guthrie', Susan McKeown & Lorin Sklamberg join forces again to present a vocal exploration of the Yiddish and Irish traditions. The results are surprising, and fun. Culled from rare archive material and old recordings, McKeown and Sklamberg have selected songs on various themes from the Jewish and Irish traditions: love, death, betrothal, betrayal and the demon drink, as well as cumulative and macaronic songs are represented.

Led by saxophonist and Mahopac High School Band Director Rich Williams, the Secret Organ Trio's sound is rooted in the great American tradition of Hammond organ based jazz groups. The group plays soul jazz, a groove-infused style of jazz that incorporates blues, gospel and rhythm & blues. The sound is reminiscent of the great organ trios of the 1960's with some modern and original elements thrown in as well. The result is a fun atmosphere that moves people makes everyone feel good.

A 12 Grapes first! We've invited three young and uniquely talented electric guitar players to our stage. Each young guitarist will perform for 30 minutes with his own adult back-up band. The evening will culminate with all three players performing together in a 20-30 minute jam session. These very talented young musicians range in age from 12 to 14. They have all played at 12 Grapes before, as guests of some of our top billing artists such as Roxy Perry, Melvin Taylor and The Straight Up Dirties.
