Elisa Girlando and OUT OF TRUTH, Evan Teatum & Lesley BoweBodles Opera House
39 Main Street
Chester, NY   See Map
A true singer, with a range of sound distinctive to only one person...
One of our best voices in decades... The finest tuning, intensity and color...
A vocal expression of will and desire... A signature style...
These are just a few of the terms best used to describe the vocal talents of Elisa Girlando. Elisa is a singer with a purpose, a direction and a style all her own. She is a girl who can proclaim the emotion of music and deliver the exclamation point for woman everywhere with substance and style.

Elisa is hot off the presses with a steamy new single: "I'm A Woman" on HitPlay Records distributed by RED Music/Sony-BMG. And this woman is the "real deal".

Let Elisa take you to a place you have never been before, with a sound you been wanting to hear for years and a message of strength and conviction.
Take one listen and you'll know Elisa Girlando is here to stay!

Elisa's backed by music-industry greats: "Out Of Truth"
Phil Garland - Producer, lead guitar, electric violin.
Brian Moldawsky - Bass, blues harp & background vocals.
Bob Rubestello - Keyboards & background vocals.
Barry Rose - Lead guitar.
Dave Bollard - Drums & percussion.

Opening the show: Evan Teatum & Lesley Bowe.

Tonight, we'll be featuring -- O.K., let's face it, even though it's a coffeehouse, we're NOT playing anything where you NEED a cup of coffee just to stay awake. We're claiming some floor space, rolling in the amps and drum kit, plugging in, and making sure there's a whole lotta shakin' goin' on -- so don't say we didn't give you advance notice, Imelda. Furthermore . . . you will have a good time.

An all-ages show, nice for those who prefer a non-alcoholic environment. NO COVER !

And of course, we raise our collective coffee mugs to toast and give a special thank-you to the Muddy Cup(s) for their continuing support of our music [and ALL local music].

Purple k’niF play Maximum Surf and Hard Twang instrumentals! Imagine The Ventures with Keith Moon on drums. With an extensive repertoire of original tunes and vintage obscurities, Purple k’niF eschew the standards and ride the wild outside edge of instrumental Surf music.

Formed in 1991 in New York City, all the members are originally from Ohio, and the band takes its name from a catch phrase used by the late, great Ghoulardi (Ernie Anderson) - host of Cleveland’s Fright Night/Creature Feature TV show in the 1960s - “Turn blue you purple k’nif!” (The “K” is hard and k’niF is Fink spelled backwards). After a 12 year hiatus, Purple k’niF reformed in 2006 and have been performing from the New Jersey shore to the beaches of Lake Erie, live radio shows on WFMU-FM and touring with Los Straitjackets.

Helmed by lead singer Neenee Rushie, who originally hails from Jamaica, the band consists of bassist Rob Kissner, drummer Sam Tritto, guitarist Jon Klenk, trombonist Andy Vogt and saxophonist Chas Montrose. They've developed a reputation for always delivering: "This is not a bunch of lazy hippie jammers moonlighting as yet another Bob Marley cover band: The Big Takeover leans much harder toward reggae’s more up-tempo parents, ska and rocksteady."
