Ray Spiegel, a disciple of Ustad Alla Rakha, will accompany on tabla. Although the music varies from serene to excited, the overall effect of the Hindustani raga is meditative and meant to promote an inward
journey toward self discovery.

While he is internationally known for his performance of traditional English ballads, his repertoire doesn’t stop there. He is equally wonderful with instrumental dance tunes, ragtime & blues. He gives homage to modern composers, such as Richard Thompson, Leon Rosselson & Robin Williamson. His own compositions are also well worth the hearing. His renditions of British Music Hall songs are entertaining, as well. His act bristles with energy & wit. Brian will be accompanied by special guest JEFF DAVIS. The suggested donation is $20 per person and we ask that attendees bring a cold pot luck dessert dish to share with 4 people. The Orange County AHRC will be sponsoring a jazz benefit concert featuring the Grammy award winning Tierney Sutton. The concert will be held at Mount St. Joseph’s Convent in New Windsor. St. Joseph is located on route 207 just across from the Stewart Airport entrance.
This year the Tierney Sutton Band received its second consecutive Grammy Nomination for Best Vocal Jazz Album. The band has been strongly influenced by all of the following: Pat Metheny, John McLaughlin, John Coltrane, Steely Dan, Bobby McFerrin, Jack Sheldon, Stevie Wonder, Bill Evans, The Temptations, James Brown and Earth Wind And Fire

Join multi-instrumentalist and composer Matt Finley (flugelhorn, soprano sax & flute) in concert with friends from Rio JAZZ: Peter Tomlinson, piano, Don Miller, bass and Tomas Martin Lopez, percussion, in a night of original compositions and Brazilian jazz classics. This is a rare opportunity to sample Matt's music in a small group environment. Special appearance by singer/songwriter Denise Jordan Finley.
Mishti performs at many of the area's top venues, including 12 Grapes Sunday Singer/Songwriter Showcases. She has a beautiful, soulful voice and writes striking lyrics. Her smooth, clean guitar work is a pleasure to take in. Mishti's friends include the area's top musicians, many of whom have been known to pop in for an impromtu jam. Whether a solo or a high-energy jam session, Mishti always creates a wonderful vibe and a good time feelin'.

Bobby is known the world over as the Lead Guitarist for Stevie Winwood, Lou Gramm, Benny Mardones and too many others to list. As a matter of fact, When David Bowie lost Stevie Ray Vaughn, David called Bobby to see if he could fill the spot. (Unfortunately, Bobby wasn't available). In 2003, Bobby's second Contemporary Blues CD "Holding Ground" received a first round Grammy nomination.
