Vickie Russell  ... is a Singer-Songwriter performing Singer-Songwriter, Contemporary, and Acoustic music.

Vickie Russell is a powerful performer with a clear, expressive voice and a relaxed presence that captivates and moves audiences. A native New Yorker, she grew up among 2 generations of pianists and was steeped in the tradition of classical music. By age 5, Vickie knew she wanted to be a performer, her goal: "to be famoused". After performing around the world she has landed here in the Hudson Valley, where the Kingston Freeman describes her music as: "Clear and strong, ranging from lilting to passionate, and her (piano and guitar) playing, likewise, often belies its apparent simplicity with richness of effect. Lyrics are evocative, personal and often spiritual." As a songwriter, she blends her love of classical melody with a folk/rock/blues style. Charged with passion and wisdom, her material reflects themes of love, hope and empowerment. Vickie has shared the stage with: the 10,000 Maniacs, Pete Seeger, Rick Danko, Leon Russell, Donovan, David Wilcox, Jill Sobule and was a finalist for the Lilith Fair. A Billboard Songwriting Contest winner, Vickie has been featured on radio and TV worldwide. She recently released her third CD entitled: Next.
