LaurieAnne ... is a Singer-Songwriter performing Country, Americana music.
WHUD- FM Spotlight Artist , LaurieAnne, is a small town farm girl whose influences came from the classic country albums that her dad would play and sing~. In the early 80's she formed a band with her brother with her dad on sound . After her dad fell ill and passed in 1987, the thought of singing without him was too much to handle. The band dissolved. It wasnt until the spring of 2011 that she found her long-time friend/guitar player, Fred Scribner, on Facebook. He convinced her that she NEEDED to sing again and she decided to give it another shot. After a couple of years of performing together as a duo, LaurieAnne tried her hand at writing music. Her first album, READY TO RIDE, is the result of coming "out of the comfort zone" . This album showcases the pure country vocals of LaurieAnne infused with Fred's extraordinary guitar talents. She has placed Finalist and Semi Finalist in several songwriting contests for the song "Feels Like Home" from this album. In Feb. 2014, the song "Too Late" was featured on WHUD-FM ARTIST SPOTLIGHT series.
In May 2015 , LaurieAnne released her second EP entitled SMALL TOWN GIRL. The all- original album shows how she has evolved as a songwriter with catchy upbeat songs and a killer ballad . This latest album is now in rotation on Pandora . In the summer of 2018 her video for her song "Rebel Child" made the top ten for the Battle of the Bands contest on 103.7 NNJ.
LaurieAnne has debuted her songs at The Falcon Arts , the West End in NYC, Bethel Woods and Villa Roma Resort. She plays with Fred Scribner throughout the Tri-State area as a duo or with their band.
