I’m Cher Bannon, professional vocalist and owner of Musicology Vocal Instruction, voted Best of the Hudson Valley 2025.

I work primarily with adult vocalists, from developing singers to experienced working musicians, with a coaching approach that focuses on the whole singer—not just technique. Your voice lives in your nervous system. Confidence, tension, fear, habits, breath, mindset and technique are all connected.

We can work on range, breath support, pitch, tone, power, vocal fatigue, stamina, harmonies, performance anxiety, stage presence, song interpretation and finding what makes YOUR voice work.

BAND VOCAL WORKSHOPS AVAILABLE.
If your band’s harmonies are muddy, singers are stepping on each other, nobody knows where their part belongs, or your backing vocals simply aren’t hitting the way they should, bring me the whole band. We’ll work on harmony placement, blend, dynamics, phrasing, vocal roles, listening and how to support the lead vocalist instead of competing with them.
