My credentials, in a nutshell: I've been a professional player for more than 40 years, and a teacher for more than 20. I'm degreed in Music Performance and Theory, have toured on three continents, done a wealth of live and studio work, and LOVE to pass along what I know to others. My students don't just learn how to play bass, they learn how music works - the bigger picture. Because of my approach, what you learn with me can be applied to any musical genre, any instrument, forever. Further, my lessons are a great addition to music programs for middle and high school students.

I've taught privately for years, but also for institutions like Ramapo College, NYU and SUNY and have conducted music classes for numerous schools, libraries and community centers. Some of my students have gone on to Berklee College of Music and other notable institutions, and many turned pro.

We begin wherever you are now, and go from there. Give me a call to discuss how we can put your progress on the fast track. My schedule is flexible, rates are reasonable, and most of my students stay with me for years. I'm in southern Orange County, and lessons are completely relaxed and productive. I've taught children as young as 9 and adults with professional careers already rolling.
