The German-American Club of Albany is a not-for-profit social organization located at 32 Cherry Street off Fuller Road. We are easy to get to from either Fuller Road or Central Avenue.
Our clubhouse is open Friday nights from 5:00 PM till 9:00 PM for select German entrees, drinks, music, and socialization. The club offers a modern clubhouse with a large banquet hall, bar and reception room, professional kitchen, and outdoor Biergarden.
Although German immigrants organized the club in the late nineteenth century, German ancestry is not necessary to attend our functions or to join the club. We are open to and welcome the public, and are always looking for new members.
The club hosts monthly events; usually dinner-dances in the banquet hall where tasty German entrees are served while enjoying live German and Polka music.
In the summer months, we host monthly summer picnics in our pine tree shaded Biergarden, which is the only Biergarden remaining in the Capital District.
At these events, picnic goers enjoy fine German food, drink, live music, and dance. At all events, domestic food and drink is also available. When the club is not utilizing its facilities for its own events, the banquet hall, bar, and Biergarden are available for rent for weddings, showers, parties, and conferences at very competitive prices.
