Vinyl Biscuit Seeks Led Guiatarist
We play a groove-driven mix of funked-up pop and roots rock, reworking familiar songs with our own feel rather than simply recreating the originals. We’re also beginning to explore original material and would love to find someone interested in contributing creatively as that side of the band develops.

We’re looking for a confident lead player with great feel, tone and musical instincts who can move comfortably between funk, soul, rock, blues and pop. Strong rhythm chops are equally important — someone who knows when to step forward, when to sit in the pocket, and how to listen and play as part of an ensemble.

You should be comfortable improvising and building solos, contributing ideas to arrangements and original material, and coming to rehearsals prepared. Just as important, we’re looking for someone who is collaborative, reliable, communicative and easy to work with.

This is an active band. We rehearse regularly in New Paltz, NY, and gig primarily throughout the Hudson Valley, with many performances falling on weekends. We’re looking for someone with the availability and flexibility to make the band a genuine commitment. Professional-quality gear and dependable transportation are also important.

Musically, think John Mayer meets Tedeschi Trucks meets Vulfpeck — strong musicianship, plenty of groove, and room to make the music your own.
