Experimental/improvising guitarist
Guitarist/songwriter/bassist looking to play more, with more people. Decent understanding of music theory, decent gear, not a good sight reader but can work my way through most chord charts and I can usually fake it if necessary. I play in a noise rock/psychedelic band and do some rough recording at home. I am a lifelong student of guitar, largely self taught, with an emphasis on improvisation. Favorites include Sonic Youth, Marc Ribot, Neil Young, John Fahey, Sonny Sharrock, Bill Orcutt, and much else. I love jazz off all kinds, old time music, hardcore punk, doom metal, classic & modern country…. Really, most music.

I am proximate to Ulster, Orange, and Sullivan counties, 420 friendly but responsible, reliable transportation, etc. Trying to get out more, play more, learn and expand in whatever direction. Duos, trios, bands, songwriter accompaniment, whatever; if interested let me know and I’ll share some of my work.
