Gretsch Broadcaster (50-60s) Drums
FOR SALE: That Gretsch Sound at a discount (13,16,22)....These are some Eclectic Vintage (50's-60's I believe) Gretsch broadcaster Drums in Walnut finish (Bass, Tom, Floor tom). These are a refurbished shell pack that I believe were possibly professionally rewrapped in the current walnut veneer (if so, the early to mid 70's) (lightly sanded and hand rubbed with Tung oil, in very good shape). The console tom mount was replaced with a 70's rogers single arm tom mount (I believe they used this mount because it fit over the previous Gretsch diamond style cymbal mount. The bearing edges are the "rounded over style" (very lightly sanded, rubbed with tong oil). There were no tags inside the drums but these are obviously vintage Gretsch drums (You'll know when you play them). The drums did NOT come with the original "stick-chopper" hoops so I replaced them with (my personal preference) "stick saver" hoops, Bass drum hoops are high quality replacements (from 70's I believe) and Tom mufflers have been removed (original holes can be seen filled in on inside of the shells) ALL the other hardware is original. The drums do not have the original round badges (perhaps fell off or were discarded?????). Please feel free to enquire with any questions on theses drums. Similar drums from this era (that are totally original/intact can go for up to $5K...) If you want that vintage Gretsch sound in "very good condition", "players" kit at a great price, this is your set up. Feel free to reach out to set up an appointment to inspect/play/purchase your drums. ENJOY! PS, The Green Gretsch's I've posted are a possible example of what the original kit may have been (based on the hardware, bearing edge style, and tom mount, cymbal mount, badge locations)...the original hole locations can bee seen filled in on the inside of the shells at the same locations as the Green example. Again, feel free to stop by, play, and investigate.....will consider any REASONABLE offers 6318852513. Thx
