Friday 8:00 pm | Highway Hotel Tour with Wax, DJ Hoppa, Grieves Hip Hop | The Lemon Squeeze 107 Main St New Paltz, NY See Map |
| Wax and Hoppa had crossed paths musically before, but everything changed when Hoppa joined as Wax's tour DJ in 2024. On the road together, the two quickly discovered a deep creative chemistry and a shared obsession with making music as often as possible.
Hoppa never travels without his portable studio, and that habit turned the tour into a rolling recording session. Songs took shape in hotel rooms, green rooms, and the back of moving vans on long stretches across the US and Canada. "People call it 'work ethic,'" says Wax, "but when your work is fueled by fun and passion, it is very easy to clock in." The result is Highway Hotel — a road-born album that finds the perfect middle ground between Hoppa's raw hip hop instincts and Wax's melodic range and eclectic lyricism. Hoppa credits the casual environments for keeping things honest: "You are way less likely to overthink… you just do what feels right in the moment and roll with it." Buy tickets NOW!

![]() Saturday 10:00 am to 12:00 pm | Evocative Jazz, Exotic Lounge with A Stick & A Box; Studio Stu & Brian Melick Jazz, Alternative, and Contemporary. Evocative Jazz, Exotic Lounge | Hudson Valley Open Market 196 Main Street New Paltz, NY See Map |
This eccentric jazz duo takes the very best in classic jazz and pop, and twists and bends them into what they call ‘evocative jazz, exotic lounge’. In this ‘duo virtuosi’, nothing is sacred.....improv is rampant...lyrics are changed at will...notes and chords are bent and perverted...familiar languages are obliterated....harmonies are sweet and sour perfection, and yet, serious, sophisticated and uncompromising in execution. The is one in-tune, out-of-tune, offbeat outfit.

Judy Torres is a Bronx legend, a freestyle music icon, and a voice that helped define a generation. Known as the Queen of Freestyle, Judy rose to fame in the late 1980s with club staples like “No Reason to Cry,” “Come into My Arms,” and “Love You, Will You Love Me.”
Judy is one of the most recognized and respected figures in the freestyle genre. Her powerful vocals have kept her a fixture of freestyle and dance pop through decades of touring and radio play, and her talent and charisma have simultaneously cemented her as an actress and a beloved New York radio personality. Now, in her memoir, "No Reason to Cry," Judy traces her path from a Bronx childhood to a record deal during the explosion of the freestyle phenomenon—and, for the first time in print, she bravely exposes the behind-the-scenes battles she fought along the way. Judy will have books available for purchase, and to sign, and will gift us with a short performance. Two signings: First 5-6:15, Second 6:45-8:00 pm

Still We Stand: Beyond the Peekskill Riots is the Robeson in Peekskill Project’s third annual commemoration of the Peekskill Riots and celebration of the life and legacy of Paul Robeson: a brilliant scholar, world-renowned artist, and courageous voice for human dignity.
Still We Stand is an afternoon of music, spoken word, visual storytelling, and community connection rooted in the past, alive with the energy of today, and centered on what brings us together now. Inspired by Robeson’s 1919 Rutgers valedictory address, The New Idealism, this year’s program asks what it means to “make national unity a reality” and to carry forward the liberties entrusted to us. Narrated by acclaimed author and scholar Shana L. Redmond, with visuals by local documentarian Jon Scott Bennett, creator of a five-part docuseries on the Peekskill Riots, the program will bring Robeson’s legacy into conversation with the voices, rhythms, and creative energy of today’s community.
